Dorothee Pesch (born 3 June 1964, in Düsseldorf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%BCsseldorf), Germany (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany)), popularly known as Doro Pesch or Doro, is a female vocalist, formerly of the German heavy metal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music) band Warlock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warlock_(band)) .
After Warlock went through many line-up changes, Pesch was left the only remaining original member of the band. Because of legal issues with their former management about the ownership and trademark on the Warlock name, she was compelled to release under the name Doro what would have been the fifth album of the band.

Pesch now pursues a solo career and lives in New York City (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City). The 2004 album Classic Diamonds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic_Diamonds) was a collaboration with The Classic Night Orchestra, which reworked some of her earlier songs. Her latest album is Fear No Evil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_No_Evil_(Doro_album)), which was released in 2009.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/Beethoven-Deckblatt.png (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/Beethoven-Deckblatt.png)

The Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opus_number) 67, was written by Ludwig van Beethoven (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_van_Beethoven) in 1804–08. This symphony (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony) is one of the most popular and best-known compositions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_composition) in all of classical music (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_music), and one of the most often played symphonies.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony_No._5_(Beethoven)#cite_note-Schauffler-0) It comprises four movements (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movement_(music)): an opening sonata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonata_form), an andante (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andante), and a fast scherzo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scherzo) which leads attacca (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/attacca) to the finale. First performed in Vienna (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna)'s Theater an der Wien (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theater_an_der_Wien) in 1808, the work achieved its prodigious reputation soon afterwards. E. T. A. Hoffmann (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._T._A._Hoffmann) described the symphony as "one of the most important works of the time".
It begins by stating a distinctive four-note "short-short-short-long" motif (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motif_(music)) twice: (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8a/Loudspeaker.svg/11px-Loudspeaker.svg.png (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Beet5mov1bars1to5.ogg) listen (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ee/Beet5mov1bars1to5.ogg) (help (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Media_help)·info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Beet5mov1bars1to5.ogg)))

It was one of only two tracks written solely by Simonon to be released on a Clash album, the other being "The Crooked Beat" on Sandinista! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandinista!). Simonon also provides vocals on "Red Angel Dragnet" of the Combat Rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat_Rock) album.

It was originally established with former Elf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elf_(band)) members, though over the years Rainbow went through many line-up changes with no two studio albums featuring the same line-up. In addition to lead singers Ronnie James Dio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_James_Dio), Graham Bonnet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Bonnet), Joe Lynn Turner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lynn_Turner) and Doogie White (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doogie_White), the project consisted of numerous backing musicians. The band started out combining mystical lyric themes with neo-classical metal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-classical_metal), but went in a more streamlined commercial style following Dio's departure from the group...

"Mama, I'm Coming Home" is the third song on the 1991 Ozzy Osbourne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozzy_Osbourne) heavy metal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music) album No More Tears (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_More_Tears). The song is about his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharon_Osbourne), whom he nicknames "Mama", and his return to her following his imminent retirement. The song was co-written by Lemmy Kilmister (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemmy), frontman of the heavy metal group Motörhead (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mot%C3%B6rhead). He was brought in as a songwriter for the No More Tears album, providing lyrics for the tracks "Hellraiser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellraiser_(song))" (which Motörhead also later recorded), "Desire", and "I Don't Want to Change the World."

The single is Osbourne's only solo Top 40 single on the Billboard Hot 100 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_Hot_100) chart, peaking at number 28; his only other top 40 hit was his duet with Lita Ford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lita_Ford), "Close My Eyes Forever (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_My_Eyes_Forever)" which peaked at number 8. It also reached number 2 on Billboard' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_(magazine))s Mainstream Rock Tracks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainstream_Rock_Tracks).

"Something" - the second track on the album "Abbey Road" later became Harrison's first A-side single. Basing the first line of the song on "Something in the Way She Moves" from James Taylor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Taylor)'s 1968 Apple Records album James Taylor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Taylor_(album)), Harrison wrote "Something" during the The Beatles sessions. After the lyrics were refined during the "Let It Be" sessions (tapes reveal Lennon giving Harrison some songwriting advice during its composition), the song was initially given to Joe Cocker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Cocker), but was subsequently recorded for Abbey Road. "Something" was Lennon's favourite song on the album, and McCartney considered it the best song Harrison had written. Frank Sinatra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Sinatra) once commented that "Something" was his favourite song (sic) and "the greatest love song ever written". The song was released as a double A-side (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_A-side) single with "Come Together".

The Honeydrippers was a rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_music) band of the 1980s. Former Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin) lead singer Robert Plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Plant) formed the group in 1981 to satisfy his long-time goal in having a rock band with a heavy R&B (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhythm_and_blues) basis. Formed originally in Worcestershire, the band went on to record an EP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_play) in the US (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States). In addition to Plant, the band was composed of fellow former Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin) member guitarist Jimmy Page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Page), Jeff Beck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Beck) (a former Yardbirds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Yardbirds) member like Page) and other friends and well-known studio musicians.

Kraftwerk (German pronunciation: [ˈkʀaftvɛʁk] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IPA_for_German), meaning power plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_plant) or power station (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_station)) is an electronic music (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_music) band from Düsseldorf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%BCsseldorf), Germany. The group was formed by Ralf Hütter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralf_H%C3%BCtter) and Florian Schneider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florian_Schneider) in 1970, and was fronted by them until Schneider's departure in 2008. The signature Kraftwerk sound combines driving, repetitive rhythms with catchy melodies, mainly following a Western Classical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_music) style of harmony, with a minimalistic and strictly electronic instrumentation. The group's simplified lyrics are at times sung through a vocoder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocoder) or generated by computer-speech software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speech_synthesis). Kraftwerk were one of the first groups to popularize electronic music and are considered pioneers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innovator) in the field. In the 1970s and early 1980s, Kraftwerk's distinctive sound was revolutionary, and has had a lasting effect across many genres of modern music..

"High Hopes" is a song from the 1994 Pink Floyd (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Floyd) album, The Division Bell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Division_Bell), composed by David Gilmour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Gilmour) with lyrics by Gilmour and Polly Samson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polly_Samson). Its lyrics speak of the things one may have gained and lost in life, written from an autobiographical angle by Gilmour, who has previously mentioned that the song is more about his early days and leaving his hometown behind than about the seeds of division supposedly planted in Pink Floyd's early days..

Waters' bass is panned hard left with Gilmour's fading into the right channel. Gilmour's bass sound is quite muted and dull. According to Gilmour, this is because that particular instrument had old strings on it, and the roadie they had sent to get new strings for it wandered off to see his girlfriend instead

"The Wizard" is a single from rock band Uriah Heep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uriah_Heep_(band))'s 1972 album Demons & Wizards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demons_%26_Wizards_(Uriah_Heep_album)) and was the first single to be lifted from the album. It was composed by Mark Clarke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Clarke_(musician)) and Ken Hensley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Hensley). It is a gentle, semi-acoustic ballad whose lyrics deal with a man wandering until he meets "the Wizard of a thousand kings", a possible reference to the druid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Druid) Merlin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merlin), to Gandalf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gandalf), to an angel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel) or even God (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God).

"La Grange" is a song by American blues-rock-group ZZ Top (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZZ_Top) from their album Tres Hombres (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tres_Hombres), released in 1973. One of their most successful songs, it was released in 1973 and received extensive radio play, rising to #41 in the Billboard Pop Singles list in 1974. The song refers to a bordello (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bordello) on the outskirts of La Grange, Texas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Grange,_Texas) (later called the "Chicken Ranch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Ranch_(Texas))"). Sammy Hagar live at the Moondance Jam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moondance_Jam) on July 10, 2008. Photo by Matt Becker.

"'Bad Motor Scooter" was the second track from the album Montrose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montrose_(album)) by the band of the same name (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montrose_(band)). It, along with "Rock Candy" was arguably the best known song by the band, Montrose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montrose_(band)), with lyrics penned by frontman Sammy Hagar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sammy_Hagar). The song's intro, a distorted electric slide guitar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slide_guitar) sound which closely emulates that of a revving motorcycle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorcycle), became the defining component of the song. When the song was conceived before this guitar sound, the band and Ted Templeman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Templeman) were not impressed because they thought it was missing a "hook", to make it stand out. Ronnie Montrose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_Montrose) stumbled upon it while messing with a slide and fuzz box one day in the studio. Playing his guitar in Open D tuning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_D_tuning), Montrose improvised what became the motorcycle sound — although Templeman and engineer Donn Landee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donn_Landee) kept him going when they failed to get the tape rolling. [1] (http://www.allmusic.com/song/t871715)
When performed live by the original Montrose line up, Sammy Hagar would play the "motorcycle" introduction on a lap steel slide guitar. Hagar provided the same intro when Chickenfoot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chickenfoot_(band)), the supergroup composed of Hagar, Joe Satriani (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Satriani), Michael Anthony (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Anthony_(musician)) and Chad Smith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Smith), performed a version during their live performances.
The song has also been included on the Sammy Hagar compilation The Essential Red Collection (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Essential_Red_Collection). Hagar still plays this song quite frequently in his live act.
In 1991, Soundgarden (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soundgarden) released an album called Badmotorfinger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badmotorfinger).

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/03/Van_Halen_-_Jump.jpg (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/03/Van_Halen_-_Jump.jpg)

"Jump" is a song by the American rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_music) group Van Halen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Halen). It is the only single (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_(music)) the group released in their career to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_Hot_100). It was released in 1984 as the second track on the album 1984 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_(Van_Halen_album)). The song breaks the mold of earlier Van Halen songs, mainly in its rolling synth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthesizer) line (played on an Oberheim OB-Xa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oberheim_OB-Xa)), although the song contains the standard Eddie Van Halen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Van_Halen) guitar solo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_solo), which Eddie claims as his favorite solo he never wrote. This refers to the fact that the producer spliced parts of two different takes to create the one heard in the song.

They were not exactly the hard-rock band...Still in terms of musicianship far more superior to the likes of Beatles, Doors, Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin...:wink1:
