"Let Me Roll It" is the fifth track on the Paul McCartney & Wings (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Paul_McCartney_%26_Wings) album Band on the Run (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Band_on_the_Run). The song is in response to John Lennon (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/John_Lennon)'s 'How Do You Sleep? (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/How_Do_You_Sleep%3F)', and adopts Lennon's musical style. George Harrison had written a song called "I'd Have You Anytime (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/I%27d_Have_You_Anytime)" which used this line earlier ("let me roll it to you") on the "All Things Must Pass (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/All_Things_Must_Pass)" album.[1] (http://forum.russianamerica.com/f/#cite_note-0) Lennon's song aimed at McCartney in retaliation for the songs on Ram (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Ram_(album)), many of which he believed were aimed at him. The main guitar lick is reminiscent of Lennon's single "Cold Turkey (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Cold_Turkey_(song))", with Lennon's lick starting on a more aggressive second beat and McCartney's on the more passive eighth beat of a four-triplet (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Tuplet) measure (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Bar_(music)). Also, it used Lennon's famous reverb (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Reverb) on his vocals.
Lennon actually liked this spoof on his own style so much he took the guitar riff and used it on his next album, Walls and Bridges (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Walls_and_Bridges) on the instrumental "Beef Jerky".

Heaven & Hell were an English and American heavy metal (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Heavy_metal_music) supergroup (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Supergroup_(music)) active from 2006 to 2010. The four members of Heaven & Hell recorded and toured together as Black Sabbath from 1980 to 1982, and again from 1991 to 1992. Launched in support of the group's 2009 album No Line on the Horizon (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/No_Line_on_the_Horizon), the tour will visit stadiums (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Stadium) from 2009 through 2011. The U2 360° Tour is named after the 360-degree staging and audience configuration it uses for shows, which U2 claims is "the first time a band has toured in stadiums with such a unique and original structure." To accommodate this, the stage set makes use of a massive four-legged supporting rig that has been nicknamed "The Claw" and has set a world record for the largest concert stage structure. In an era of declining CD sales, the tour is expected to be a major source of income for the band..

"White Wedding" is a song (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Song) by Billy Idol (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Billy_Idol) that appeared on his album (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Album) Billy Idol (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Billy_Idol_(album)) (1982). Although "the Big 80's: Episode I" of VH1 (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/VH1)'s Pop-up Video (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Pop-up_Video) trivia show claims Idol wrote the song to voice his displeasure with his sister's fiance (who impregnated her before marrying her), this has turned out not to be the case. On an episode of VH1 Storytellers (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/VH1_Storytellers), Idol claims that there was never any family resentment towards his sister, and that the song was simply heightened fantasy and nothing more.
It is often considered his most successful song, although other Idol songs charted higher. It reached #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Billboard_Hot_100) on its original release, and reached #6 in the UK (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/UK) upon its release there in 1985..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-miLbYrpdvQ&feature=related
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0f/Joe_Satriani_Surfing_With_the_Alien.jpg
Surfing with the Alien is the second album (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Album) by instrumental rock (http://forum.russianamerica.com/w/index.php?title=Instrumental_rock&action=edit&redlink=1) solo artist Joe Satriani (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Joe_Satriani), released in 1987. Surfing with the Alien contributed greatly to establishing Satriani's reputation as a respected rock guitarist.
The album contains fast and complex songs such as "Surfing with the Alien (http://forum.russianamerica.com/wiki/Surfing_with_the_Alien_(song))" and "Satch Boogie (http://forum.russianamerica.com/w/index.php?title=Satch_Boogie&action=edit&redlink=1)", stranger-sounding "Crushing Day" and "Lords of Karma", and slower, melodic songs like "Always with Me, Always with You" and "Echo" which provide a change of pace. Also, "Midnight", uses the technique of two-hand tapping at great speed, making a Latin-American effect. There are also Nashville tuned guitars (on "Echo") and key changes (on "Always with Me, Always with You" and "Echo") to vary the album.

Meddle is the sixth studio album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_album) by English progressive rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_rock) group Pink Floyd (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Floyd). It was released in October 1971.
The album was recorded at a series of locations around London (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London), including Abbey Road Studios (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbey_Road_Studios). With no material to work with and no clear idea of the album's direction, the band devised a series of novel experiments which eventually inspired the album's signature track, "Echoes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echoes_(song))". Although many of the group's later albums would be unified by a central theme with lyrics written mainly by Roger Waters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Waters), Meddle was a group effort with lyrical contributions from each member.

"Walking on the Moon" is a 1979 song by The Police (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Police), from their second album, Reggatta de Blanc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggatta_de_Blanc). The song was The Police's second number-one hit single in the United Kingdom after "Message in a Bottle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_in_a_Bottle_(song))". It reached number nine in Australia but did not chart in the United States. It is one of The Police's more reggae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggae)-influenced songs. According to Sting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sting_(musician)), the song is about the feeling of being in love. Sting said that he wrote the song when he was drunk.. :)

Robert Anthony Plant, CBE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_British_Empire) (born 20 August 1948), is an English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_people) rock singer and songwriter, best known as the vocalist and lyricist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyricist) of the rock band Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin). He has also had a successful solo career. In 2007, Plant released Raising Sand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raising_Sand), an album produced by T-Bone Burnett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-Bone_Burnett) with American bluegrass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluegrass_music) soprano Alison Krauss (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Krauss), which won the 2009 Grammy Award (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Award) for Album of the Year (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Award_for_Album_of_the_Year) at the 51st Grammy Awards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/51st_Grammy_Awards).
A career spanning more than 40 years, Plant is regarded as one of the most significant singers in the history of rock music, and influenced contempories such as Freddie Mercury (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury) and Axl Rose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axl_Rose). In 2006, heavy metal magazine Hit Parader (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hit_Parader) named Plant the "Greatest Metal Vocalist of All-Time". In 2009, Plant was voted "the greatest voice in rock" ahead of Freddie Mercury, in a poll conducted by Planet Rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_Rock_(radio_station))

The Honeydrippers was a rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_music) band of the 1980s. Former Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin) lead singer Robert Plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Plant) formed the group in 1981 to satisfy his long-time goal in having a rock band with a heavy R&B (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhythm_and_blues) basis. Formed originally in Worcestershire, the band went on to record an EP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_play) in the US (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States). In addition to Plant, the band was composed of fellow former Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin) member guitarist Jimmy Page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Page), Jeff Beck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Beck) (a former Yardbirds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Yardbirds) member like Page) and other friends and well-known studio musicians.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ec/FreddieLOMO.jpg (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ec/FreddieLOMO.jpg)
"Living on My Own" is a song by Freddie Mercury (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury), from the album Mr. Bad Guy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Bad_Guy).
It was originally released as a single (backed with "My Love Is Dangerous") in September 1985 in the UK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom) where it peaked at #50. The July 1985 release in the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) had "She Blows Hot & Cold" as its B-side (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-side).
In 1993, almost two years after Mercury's death, the No More Brothers Mix of the song was released and reached #1 in the UK, becoming Mercury's only solo #1 hit. It remained at the top for 2 weeks and was in the charts for a total of 13 weeks.
The video (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_video) for "Living on My Own" featured footage of Mercury's 39th birthday party in 1985 in Munich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich).

Robert Anthony Plant, CBE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_British_Empire) (born 20 August 1948 ), is an English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_people) rock singer and songwriter, best known as the vocalist and lyricist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyricist) of the rock band Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin). He has also had a successful solo career. In 2007, Plant released Raising Sand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raising_Sand), an album produced by T-Bone Burnett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-Bone_Burnett) with American bluegrass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluegrass_music) soprano Alison Krauss (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Krauss), which won the 2009 Grammy Award (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Award) for Album of the Year (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammy_Award_for_Album_of_the_Year) at the 51st Grammy Awards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/51st_Grammy_Awards).
With a career spanning more than 40 years, Plant is regarded as one of the most significant singers in the history of rock music, and has influenced contempories such as Freddie Mercury (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury) and Axl Rose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axl_Rose). In 2006, heavy metal magazine Hit Parader (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hit_Parader) named Plant the "Greatest Metal Vocalist of All-Time".[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Plant#cite_note-HITP-2) In 2009, Plant was voted "the greatest voice in rock" in a poll conducted by Planet Rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_Rock_(radio_station))...

Led Zeppelin were an English rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_music) band formed in 1968 that consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Page), singer Robert Plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Plant), drummer John Bonham (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Bonham) and bassist John Paul Jones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Paul_Jones_(musician)). With their heavy, guitar-driven blues-rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blues-rock) sound, Led Zeppelin are regularly cited as one of the progenitors of heavy metal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music)[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin#cite_note-RSbio-1)[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin#cite_note-erlewine-2) and hard rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_rock), even though the band's individualistic style drew from many sources and transcends any one music genre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_genre).Led Zeppelin did not release songs from their albums as singles in the United Kingdom, as they preferred to develop the concept of "album-orientated rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Album-oriented_rock)".

All My Love" is a song on English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England) rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_music) band Led Zeppelin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin)'s 1979 album, In Through the Out Door (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Through_the_Out_Door). Credited to Robert Plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Plant) and John Paul Jones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Paul_Jones_(musician)), it is a slow-tempo progressive rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_rock) song, featuring a synthesiser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthesizer) solo by Jones and lyrics performed by Plant.
Some say Plant wrote the song as a tribute to his five year old son, Karac, who died from a stomach infection (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infection) in 1977 but many believe the lyrics are about his relationship with his wife, expressing his desire to recommit to the marriage. He did the vocals all in one take.
