Вейвер-статус и продление прав.

До 1-ых МД - Латвийские. В декабре меняла (МД на МД) потому что срок истек.

Я несколько раз в разных MVA пытался себе поменять калифорнийские права на мэрилэндские и у меня постоянно спрашивали подтверждение статуса (GC, White Card, EAD ...) ... У меня нечего им показать, а калифорнийские мои истекают уже через месяц. Не знаю, что и делать. Чикаго для меня не вариант, так как паспорт мой заграничный истек тоже :-(

Фиг его знает. Это как бы первые Мерилэндские права, наверно по первому разу злобствуют. А SSN у тебя тоже нету?

Глянула я на их сайт - труба дело. Без документа про lawful presence не получить прав ни в MD, ни в VA. В DC в принципе есть требование только proof of identity, но то, что они принимают как proof, может быть только у легального резидента. Боюсь, у тебя один выход - ехать менять права в Калифорнию. Авось там при обмене глубооко копать не будут.

Глянула я на их сайт - труба дело. Без документа про лащфул пресенце не получить прав ни в МД, ни в ВА. В ДЦ в принципе есть требование только прооф оф идентиты, но то, что они принимают как прооф, может быть только у легального резидента. Боюсь, у тебя один выход - ехать менять права в Калифорнию. Авось там при обмене глубооко копать не будут.

Но у него уже есть Калифорнийские права, просто срок истек. Все равно все то же самое надо?

Меняла права с ДС на МД 2 месяца назад. Там действительно надо всё подтверждать.
В ДС тоже нереально получить, туда вообще не советую суваться, особенно ДМВ в Джорджтауне. Там такие тётки противные сидят. Правда я всё таки три года назад, походив туда месяцев так 5 или 6 так их достала, что одна тётка, когда я ей дала посмотреть свою пачку доков (у меня была дип. виза и много много бумажек из State Dept. ) просто поверхностно взглянула и махнула рукой.

Не говорят, но возможно нужно. Да и кажетса у него есть <deportation order> или:
