Teen busted with loaded gun at HS

A 15-year-old packing a loaded handgun was arrested Wednesday when cops brought metal detectors to his Brooklyn high school, police and school sources said.
When the teen, whose name was not released because of his age, saw the scanners at John Dewey High School in Gravesend, he tried to make a run for it, school sources said.
A school safety officer grabbed him and found a .45-caliber handgun in his backpack, sources said. The student was charged with weapons possession.
Police brought the metal detectors to the school after officials found graffiti in the boys locker room. The graffiti began with the words "Attention Dewey High School" and warned there would be a shooting on April 1, sources said.
Investigators do not believe the teen with the gun wrote the warning, sources said.
