Hello everyone! Thanks to God babushka has lived to see her A# on the ASC Appointment Notice form when she went to the local Service Center for biometrics appointment. After completing the procedure at the center, she was told that everything will be mailed to her. Its been exactly 2 months since then. You must understand babushka is not getting younger day by day and is really worried she may not (God forbid!) live to that glorious day when the little plastic card arrives in the mail. Please advise where to call or send letter to ask USCIS to possibly "speed up" the case? To give you at least some clue, granny's case application number starts with the letters MSC (plus 10 digits) and I can also see her USCIS A#(plus 9 digits) on the ASC Apointemtn Notice form that she went to the biometrics appointement with.
Hope this is clear. Thank you all in advance.

Обычно проходит 1 - 1.5 года с момента взятия отпечатков пальцев. Потом, если всё нормально, она получит печать в паспорт а потом ещё месяцев через 6 - 12 пластиковую карточку по почте. Ускорить это нельзя.

Насколько я знаю, ускорить этот процесс невозможно. Только ждать, два месяца - это вообще не срок.

A почему это так важно чтобы бабушка получила ГК как можно быстрее? Она ведь уже в США, верно? Легальный статус есть? Ну и куда торопиться? Разрешение на работу ей не нужно...

Вот именно, если бабушка, не дай бог, "отчалит", то ей уже будет явно все равно, пришла гринкарта за неделю до того или после...
или это, типа, "подержаться на последок за заветную карточку"?

Thank you all for your comments. I understand nothing can be done at this point and granny will have to wait. It may come as a bit of surprise to you, but the reason granny is so eager to get her green card is because she wants to start receiving whatever monetary and medical benefits she will then be entitled to. Can you blame her for that? :-)

То есть бабушка здесь жила, работала, деньги в общую копилку откладывала, так что ли? Или кто-то другой туда эти денюжки клал, а теперь бабушка считает, что они ее по праву?
