One more question. My daughter, now 22, arrived to the US (Boston, MA) in 2002 and got her green card (2 -year conditional) the conditional status was approved+removed, got fingerprinted/picture taken/sent everything to Vermont over 2 years ago, and they cut her Green card and then took it away. She had her passport stamped 2 times (I-551/travel and work authorization) - still nothing in the mail. Finally, went to the INS office in January 2007, they said the paperwork probably got lost in the mail since Vermont never sent out the card ...got her passport stamped for another year, and did fingerprints/picture again. Was told would take another 3-6 month. Can she now apply for her citizenship and not wait for the actual 10-year card to arrive? we don't even have a copy of that old card, although the stamp in the passport says the date whe the card was issued. And how long would it take apprx? Thanks so much, Lev!
