Dear Lev,
Went over the messages, did not find exactly the same case as mine.
I am in the USA since 2002, married to the US citizen. Have a green card, did not apply to get a US citizenship - wanted to be able to travel to Russia anytime with no visa to visit my mother. She is 77 and her health is deteriorating. Now, she wants to come here and live with us. What is the safest way to proceed?
1) invite here to visit (then try to extend after 6 months are over), meanwhile apply for a citizenship, and then petition for her...
2) apply for a citizenship first, then invite her while waiting for it (would it jeopardize her chances of getting a visa to the US?).
I am most concerned about her medical insurance here. She can't have any without the ssn, right? Please advise. THANKS>
