I think Ukrainian and Russian women are so beautiful. I'm going to go to the Ukraine in 2007 and 2008 to see if I can meet some girls. But I'm an Asian-American. I heard the girls are only attracted to caucasian men. Is it true? I think I look pretty good but who knows. I also own a home and am financially secure. Here's my picture. Someone that still lives in Russia or Ukraine, can you tell me if I will find a beautiful girl that likes me?

Man, I'm telling you - it's DOABLE! One would have to put lots of effort and be a real gentleman while trying to win over their/her "heart and soul". But they're worth any single moment spent and when it comes to bed (if you're bright and interesting enough to them ) ... ohh boy, hold on.
My initial attitude was a such that I thought I'm THE king, I'm THE master, I'm THE best candidate just because I'm from US and have not just a bank account, but THE bank account. And since it's an Eastern Europe we're talking about (meaning some people are very poor and needy), I've had an effrontery of behaving myself quite inadequately, I might add. But those women are VERY-VERY proud and self-conscious. So keep that in mind.
Also, don't try to look for one at the bars for expats (places where people from US hanging out) since there are plenty of gold-diggers out there. If she speaks very decent English - be on the lookout, she might not be the right person for you (very full of herself, is after your wallet ONLY, expects you to go to the very nice/expensive places AND knows exact locations of those, hereby SHE'S a GOLD-DIGGER).
Go to museum or an exhibit and try to strike up a conversation there (hopefully you speak some Ukrainian or Russian). Don't use those stupid dating services, the best way is to find an inside man who can introduce you to an interesting, little humble, SMART and with a sense of humor and not reach girl (pay attention whether she has her own car or even worse, her own apartment - these are very expensive things to get in Ukraine and you don't need for yourself a mean and nasty, super high-maintenance girl from upper-middle class or just middle class family, they are all b*tches, unless all you need is a good sex. They are all spoiled, as a rule).
The key is NOT REACH. See how she dresses - is it just nice and pretty, or is it some brand name clothing from Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior and all that stuff.
The key is DON'T show off in front of her with your money, try to be inconspicuous about it. Let her pick and choose places where to go but beforehand find out what kind of public is usually hanging out in what place and what place(s) is THE MOST expensive to go to (max you can spend on a dinner in such place per person is 100 dol., not much, but for the region where people earn on average 300dol. per month! that's A LOT).

My understanding is that if a person was able to achieve financial success on her own!!! and not because of her reach mammy and daddy who paid for her education at the prestige college and who support or supported her LUXURY lifestyle - that's cool with me and there's nothing wrong with it.
But if her upbringing was such that she has got everything she wanted just because of mammy and daddy and, therefore, takes luxury for granted - you'll have lot's of trouble and headache with her.
So look for somebody who's smart and not spoiled with ”richies” and cool gadgets/cellphones/designer's handbags (because her daddy paid for it) , and beauty... all of them are beautiful and sexy.

Well, there ARE some prejudices and chauvinistic tendencies that still exist over there, and there’s not a too big of a diversity in population – predominantly Caucasians. When you do see a girl with an Afro-American or an Asian-American, 8 times out of 10 she’s a gold-digger. So, that’s why you have to be on the look out in order to avoid that.
To be perfectly honest – it’s hard but that’s the beauty of it, isn’t it???

I've been in Ukraine/Kiev last summer - I didn't see even one black person while I've been walking in the downtown - Kreshatik... even one ... Hence, the society in general is not very open to interracial relations yet. Unfortunately.

Russian/Ukrainian women are pretty much omnivorous, so I don’t think you are going to have any troubles finding a mate. Spartacus gave you a good break down on types of girls you might meet there, although there are always exceptions from the rules, and you should remember that. Also why don’t you try to meet with some Russian/Ukrainian girls here in the USA; you might get a good feeling, or even actually meet one or two you like.
