US virgin islands problem!

I just went to US virgin islands.
When i came there my airline company (America West, US Airways) lost my luggage. I got it only 4 day later!. So i had to buy extra camera, t-shirts, other clothes etc.
I want to ask them for a refund.
How much money is it possible to get from them? And what is the bast way to do it.
