Vacation in PETERBURG??

I have livied in the USA for 2 years now. I have an asylum status. I just recieved my refugee travel document. I want to go to PETER this summer to visit my family.
How will the INS react to this since i am Russian myself. Will there be any consequences for me?
If INS will not tolerate me entering Russia directly, what country should i use to get to Russia?

If you are a Russian citizen,- You may get into serious trouble.
I'd wait for US citizenship.
