Абсолютно никаких привелегий,
единственная привелегия- то, что Канадским гражданам можно без визы в'езжать на 6 месяцев, а не на 3, как, например, гражданам стран из visa waiver program- это именно и вызвано тем, что канадские пенсионеры напокупали недвижимости во Флориде и Калифорнии и ездят туда на зиму каждый год, дабы избежать холодов (те же Монреальцы), три месяца им было бы маловато, холода в Монреале тянутся гораздо дольше :(.

Так что дома покупайте на здоровье, но если вы приедете в этот свой дом то это, повторяю, не иммиграция, это частный визит, без права на работу или учебу и максимум на 6 месяцев.

А потом- или обратно в Канаду на другие 6 месяцев, или - статус нелегала со всеми вытекающими отсюда последствиями.

Много неясного, вы правы нужно ехать и на месте смотреть и узнавать. Но что всё-таки лутше Флорида или Калифорния? Многие говорят что Флорида намного меньше развита, меньше роботы и уровень жизни ниже. Но в то-же время и жильё дешевле, что в даном случае не маловажно. То что пишут в официальных сайтах это одно, но как вы живущие в Америке очениваете эту жизнь, что вам нравится и что плохо на ваш взгляд. Ведь мексиканец видит это по одному , китаец по другому и мы по третьему ?

Мне Калифорния гораздо больше по душе, влажность здесь ниже, ураганов не бывает и летом много прохладнее- во Флориде помереть от жары можно, а у нас редко за 30 цельсия переваливает, обычно 25-27.

Чтобы работать официально строителем в CA, неплохо иметь лицензию, надо учиться.
Из многоэтажек только офисы компаний, почти всё жильё - домики в один-два этажа.

Смотрел я как знакомый домик достраивал. Сначала пришёл официальный прораб, оценил всё и прикинул сумму. Знакомый сказал, что дорого. Нашёл мексиканцев, они живо построили за сумму в 2 раза меньше.

Медсёстры, вроде, требуются в огромных количествах. Надеюсь, она накачанная. Смотришь, подъехала машина, оттуда спустили на кранике коляску, потом на коляску тушу скинули. Туша нажимает на кнопочки и едет. Доедет до медсестрёнки, а у неё краника нет.

Вот список профессий по НАФТА и требований, как видите registered nurse там есть, требования- наличие лицензии, если ваша жена проходит- то ей проще, ничего связанного с real estate я не вижу.
