Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and would be grateful if anyone could answer my question. I am currently waiting for my naturalization (applied 6 mos. ago) and already invited my mom to visit me in January (I hope to get my citizenship by then and apply for her adjustment of status). I know that I have to convince the officers that she did not violate her non-immigrant intent, so I was advised to apply after she has been here for two months or more. Of course, I have no idea how long she will be allowed to stay in the first place but my biggest fear is that she has a stamp in her visa (it is a single entry B-2 that expires at the end of February) that reads CANNOT ADJUST STATUS. Could you explain if this stamp has legal power and whether my petition for alien relative (I-130) would be denied because of this. Thank you so much for your help.
