Iran launches satellite carrier rocket into space

Iran launched its first satellite Omid (Hope) in 2009 and its Rasad (Observation) satellite was sent into orbit in 2011.

The state TV report, as well as others by Iran’s semiofficial news agencies, did not say when the launch was conducted nor what devices the carrier brought with it. However, the launch comes amid difficult negotiations in Vienna over Iran’s tattered nuclear deal.

Previous launches have drawn rebukes from the United States, which unilaterally withdrew from the nuclear deal in May 2018 and reimposed sanctions against Iran.

Washington has said it is concerned by Iran’s development of space launch vehicles and a German diplomat said Berlin had called on Iran to stop sending satellite launch rockets into space, adding that they violated a UN Security Council resolution.

Iranian defence ministry spokesman Ahmad Hosseini said the Simorgh (Phoenix) satellite carrier rocket had launched the three research devices at an altitude of 470 km and at a speed of 7,350 metres per second.

“The intended research objectives of this launch were achieved,” Hosseini told state television. “This was done as a preliminary launch. God willing, we will have an operational launch soon.”

State TV showed footage of what it said was the firing of the launch vehicle from the Imam Khomeini Space Center in northern Iran at dawn.
“By developing our capacity to launch satellites, in the near future satellites with a wide range of applications will be placed into orbit,” Hosseini said.

But hours later, Hosseini and other officials remained silent on the status of the objects, suggesting the rocket had fallen short of placing its payload into the correct orbit. Hosseini offered a speed for the satellite carrier that state-associated journalists reporting on the event indicated wouldn’t be enough to reach orbit.

Iran’s TV aired footage of the white rocket emblazoned with the words, “Simorgh satellite carrier’’ and the slogan “We can’’ shooting into the morning sky from Iran’s Imam Khomeini Spaceport. A state TV reporter at a nearby desert site hailed the launch as “another achievement by Iranian scientists.’’

Iranian state media recently offered a list of upcoming planned satellite launches for the Islamic Republic’s civilian space programme. Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard runs its own parallel programme that successfully put a satellite into orbit last year.

How is Iran using Takfirism against regional rivals?

The current regime in Iran has widely used the Takfiri term for militant groups that may have links with regional Sunni states such as Saudi Arabia or groups that may challenge the might of the regime.

Tehran uses the Takfiri term not only for Islamic State in Syria, but it also describes all militant groups that are fighting the Syrian regime as “Takfiris supported by Western countries.”

Is Islamic State a Takfiri Group?

Both Ayaz and Ghamidi believe the Islamic State group fits in the definition of Takfir in modern Muslim history.

“[Islamic State] considers its rival Sunni Muslim groups, all the Shi’ite Muslims and its ideological opponents, apostates,” Ayaz said. “The followers of [IS] also believe in taking properties of their enemies as war booty and take their enemies’ women as concubines, a practice approved per Takfiri ideology.”[b

New model of Iran-Russia cooperation emerging: Analyst

A Russia affairs researcher says a new model of cooperation between Tehran, Moscow and the resistance front has taken shape in recent years, particularly following the outbreak of the Syria crisis.
This cooperation, adds Ahmad Kazemi, has laid the groundwork for forming a new order in the region.

Referring to the Iranian president’s visit to Moscow,

he added Iran and Russia have common ground on international issues.

“The two countries see eye to eye on fighting unilateralism, boosting regional organizations as well as multilateral regional and international cooperation, combating any domination and hegemonic approaches, and tackling violations of international law and regulations,” said the analyst in an interview with IRNA.

дело ведь не только в сельдерее ( розы , гранаты - ну такие красно-розовые ... Куча всего получше чем из Турции - потому что на юге Ирана намного теплее чем в Турции ). А трубопрокат в Иране как раз очень хороший. ( и много чего другого ). Только вот одно "но" - против них как бы "международные санкции" действуют с соответствующими последствиями для тех компаний , которые рискнут вести такой бизнес. Правда там очень простой выход - компании официльно могут считаться иранскими. ( в таком случае им терять нечего кроме долларов - которые по крайней мере в Азии становятся не так уж сильно и нужными ).

P.S. но тут другое настораживает - эти хитро-анально-трахнутые чалмо-тюрбано-носители хотят вовлечь РФ в "миротворческие операции" по всему Middle East. И даже для борьбы с "партизанами" ( такфир - это они так контрабандистов на афгано-иранской границе называют и сепаратистов на северо-востоке Ирана тоже ). Я всё же больше "симпатизирую" Эрдогану чем этому хитрозадому Раиси. - у Эрдогана просто "исторический долг" , к чему можно даже относиться с пониманием. А у этих какая-то мания по мотивам "Большого Ирана" , которую они лозунгами "исламской цивилизации" пытаются прикрывать. И не любой - а только такой , которую одобрят седобордые старцы нетрадиционной сексуальной ориентации из Высшего Совета Исламской Революции. ( они когда-то даже Ахмадинежада чуть по "законам шариата" камнями не забросали ).

Правда с "партизанами" на ирано-афганской границе вполне талибы могут успешно разобраться , но по ходу процесса Иран может просто потерять эти районы. Хотя сравнительно успешные консультации между Ираном и афганскими талибанами были - тупо о взаимном невмешательстве , но не о "совместной борьбе против такфира".
