Florida governor: sick passengers on cruise ship cannot be 'dumped' here

The Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, has said passengers on a coronavirus-stricken cruise trip cannot be “dumped” in his state, casting further doubt over where two vessels carrying hundreds of people will be allowed to dock.

On Monday, DeSantis told Fox News that many of the people on board were “foreigners” that he did not want to see “dumped” in his state, adding that he was in contact with the White House about the approaching vessels.

Holland America's Zaandam began transiting the Panama Canal late Sunday night after being docked off the coast of Panama for several days. The boat and its occupants have been in limbo for weeks awaiting permission to disembark after several South American ports denied the ship's entry.

Four people have died aboard the ship, the cruise line announced Friday. At least two people tested positive for coronavirus on the ship on Thursday, according to Holland America.

ну а чо им ехать аж во флориду кагда они могут сойти на берег в той же панаме, коста рике, колумбии, кубе, джамайке и в куче других мест которые намного ближе флориды. почиму нет претензий ко всем етим странам а тока к флоридскому губернатору?
