Former tennis champion Boris Becker has revealed that the infamous 'broom cupboard' restaurant liaison - which led to the conception of his third child - actually happened on some stairs.
The five time Wimbledon winner had sex with model Angela Ermakova on the steps of London's Nobu restaurant in 1999.
The romp with model Angela Ermakova which apparently was over in 'five seconds', produced a daughter, Anna - now nine, and cost Becker his marriage.


In an interview with Piers Morgan for ITV's Lifestories which will air on Saturday, the German ex-player said: 'I don't know if a bathroom is a better place but it actually happened on the stairs between the bathrooms so there was no broom cupboard.'


The German star has previously spoken of his 'guilt and shame' over the quickie which happened in 1999, just after he announced his retirement.
He said: 'I felt very guilty, ashamed. It was my last day of tennis, now I've cheated on my wife.'


Becker blamed the 'loneliness' that set in after he made the decision to hang up his racquet. He decided to go out celebrating with friends, but they all cancelled leaving him 'about to lose his mind'.
Despite the high price he paid for the brief encounter, he claims he now loves the daughter who he initially doubted was his.
'I live and learn. It cost my marriage, it cost for the next couple of years my private life but having Anna is not a mistake anymore. I have a beautiful daughter. I love her very much.'
