Two people seen in a photo with suspected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in New York's famed Times Square are being held by authorities on administrative immigration violations, Fox News has confirmed. The two men were identified to Fox News as Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, both citizens of Kazakhstan. They can be seen standing next to Tsarnaev in a photo believed to have been taken in April 2012 in Times Square, which authorities suspect was another of the bombers' intended targets.
Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov were arrested April 20 -- five days after the attack at the marathon -- at the Hidden Brook apartments by the FBI and Homeland Security in New Bedford Mass., and they are being detained by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement at the Suffolk County House of Corrections in Boston because of problems relating to their student visas, sources told Fox News.
Dias’ father confirmed that the students from Kazakhstan indeed owned the BMW with the provocative license plate that was on the photo all over the Internet. He said that Dias and Azamat bought the car together some time ago.
Kadyrbayev said that the individualized license plate was a joke gift from their friends in Spain. “This joke led to trouble. But it was just a gag of their Spanish friends, just a gift.” They needed the car to get to their university and go to other places.

The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution guarantees “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures. . . .” In Waterdown, Massachusetts, for one night, law enforcement threw that guarantee right out the window, when heavily-armed police approached a house, forced the occupant to leave it at gunpoint, and then stormed the property searching for a lone gunman.
People in the Boston area were understandably nervous when Monday’s bombing was followed by Thursday’s murder of a police officer, carjacking, and shootout. When the shootout ended, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had run over his brother Tamerlan, killing him, and Dzhokhar himself was on the run. In other words, the whole terrible week had wound down to a very common crime scenario: a fugitive was hiding from the police.
What was uncommon was law enforcement’s response: The federal and local police locked down Watertown. They barricaded roads, stopped any vehicles from traveling, closed businesses, imposed a no-fly zone over the town, “ordered” people to stay in their houses, checked pedestrians’ IDs, and began conducting house-to-house searches looking for the missing gunman. It was one of those house-to-house searches that appears in the video below. You can see armed police creep up on the house, drag the occupant out at gunpoint, and then storm into his house, presumably searching for Dzhokhar
The police didn’t find Dzhokhar there, but they might have found the wreck of the Fourth Amendment in one of those houses they searched. It’s understandable that the police were worried about Dzhokhar’s intentions and accomplices. Nevertheless, to place an entire town under lockdown, to demand that people show identification (something that the Left screams about when done at polling places on election day or to search for illegal immigrants), and then to raid houses without any evidence that the house is connected with a crime and without a warrant is a shocking violation of American civil liberties.
The whole point of the Constitution is to ensure that the government doesn’t ever have an excuse to violate People’s natural rights. The Amendments aren’t mere laws that can be changed or broken at a whim, or when a majority gets antsy. They are part of an unbreakable contract between the government and the People. They are never more important than when a majority, or the government itself, starts worrying about things. To use a lone gunman as the excuse for martial law is a worrisome precedent that should be addressed and stopped immediately.
We .. respect the police a great deal. On a daily basis, they are an important part of the civil fabric of our society. And when there’s an emergency we honor their willingness to put their lives on the line to protect us. Nevertheless, the fact that they chose a job that puts them at risk is not a free pass for them to violate our Constitutional rights. In a free society, part of law enforcement’s duty to serve and protect is to preserve our liberties, not to infringe upon them. What happened at Watertown is a reminder that the Second Amendment exists for self-defense against both criminals and overreaching government.

Yes, and the context was that for this reason, the Boston authorities put the entire city on lockdown, had the police put on their best paramilitary camo, told citizens to stay inside their homes and shut their businesses, and mounted an unprecedented street-by-street, house-by-house search for the suspect.
Additional context: The day long search failed to produce any result, the "crazed, homicidal, bombing maniac" was still on the loose, but because there had been no result, the authorities held a newser at dinner time announcing that the citywide daylight police raid was over, and everyone should remain vigilant but resume their normal lives.
That's the context. So, if the very presence of a "crazed, homicidal, bombing maniac" justified the extreme measures already taken, as you argue, then why was the lockdown lifted? The alleged exigent threat hadn't changed one iota. So wuzzup with that?
When we resolve that, we can then maybe move on to delve into the fact that minutes after the lockdown ends, a re-freed (unarmed) citizen goes out to check the boat in his backyard, and finds out the suspect in there, which he reports to police, thus removing the existential threat posed by what turned out (in hindsight) to be a wounded guy bleeding out in a backyard boat.
Here's another question: Given that the lockdown dissuaded the boatowner from checking his backyard earlier, is it not proper to concldue that the extreme and unprecedented police lockdown in Boston not only contributed nothing to finding the bomber, IT ACTUALLY DELAYED FINDING HIM!
And we haven't even touched on the constitutionality of the lockdown and the house searches! So much to ponder, so little time...

так оно и есть юристы ....She told me that she and her husband had been lawyers and political activists in Russia. They had fled the country after “something that her husband did.” Her daughter had recently been divorced at this time, and her daughter’s ex-husband had taken their child to Russia, refusing to return him. Finally the child was returned. When my mom asked Zubeidat how they had gotten the child back, she told her that “my [Zubeidat’s] husband is crazy” and everyone knew it. When he threatened the daughter’s ex-husband’s family, they returned the child.
