Там же, в Lincoln Center с 20 октября по 19 ноября будет проходить второй White Light Festival.

Welcome to the White Light Festival, our annual exploration of music and art's power to reveal the many dimensions of our interior lives. In this, its second year, the Festival offers a spectrum of artistic expression that moves us inward and expands our spirit.

In today's hectic world, few experiences are left that allow us to discover the essence of what it means to be human and to fully inhabit one's self. Our wish is that White Light Festival allow musical and artistic expression to directly and immediately penetrate our hearts and reveal the many beautiful rooms that lie within it.

And the White Light Festival comprises more that performances: it is White Light Lounges, and art installation, a pair of conversations about the self and the soul, artist discussions, and other events. We look forward to seeing you often, and hope that on off our stages the White Light Festival brings you closer to yourself and our shared humanity.

Operation Sail, the nonprofit that organizes the world's largest international maritime gatherings, is once again setting sail for New York, commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner. From May 23-30 more than 60 tall ships and military warships from around the world will fill the harbor.

Wednsday, May 23 (morning) - Parade of Ships from Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to George Washington Bridge.

Вот и я подумываю. Каждый год пропускаю, а зрелище красивое. Может быть, сделаю себе подарок на ДР. Не в курсе откуда лучше смотреть? На мосту ведь не остановишься.

Я тоже. Но думаю со смотровой площадки на Стейтен Айленде у паромного терминала должно быть отлично видно. Это рядом с мостом Верразано.
Вот, нашел ролик - такой же парад в Кливленде в 2010 году. Нью-Йорка почему-то нет. Красиво, надо поехать.
