Just as Iraqi's saga devalued UN to the point of a banch of odd guys with great parking spaces in Manhattan, the Obama's peace prize will devalue the meaning of Nobel peace prize up to a politically correct giveaway. Thus, old good Europeans won't be able to utilize it when they may really need some social engineering.
Let them do it. Their mistake is our profit. It is a zero sum game these days.

By the way, The Peace Nobel Prize helped Arafat to loose to Hamas as people became more wary on his amicability towards the West. Which, in turn, brought his political career to an end (same applies to his political party).
This, in turn, allowed G.W press for security guarantees and responsibility for actions against Israel. Isn' that great? First, since Israel came to an existance Arabs were held responsible for their own actions and French were forced to shut their mouth tide.

No, these numbers tell you something else whch is just as bad (if not worse).
I did recommend once to read Thomas Frank's "What's the matter with Kansas".
The point was that there is no ligitimacy to representation since Clinton (yup) "utilized" it to create "roaring 90-th" in order to secure the position of Dems (thus to make them look as an attractive investments for financial transactors).
The problem is that the current global infrastructure cannot hold to a demand of a transactorship in such scale. This alone gives us a chance.
If you followed latest news you may know that the current debate was about bank capital reqs.
This was the key. If the Congress will decide to set up new recommendation on standards for FEd on cap. reqs for both domestic and foreign financial corps then transactors will end up deep in chocolate. In turn, that will provide us with an opportunity to clean up our banks and insurance without "next to a suicide" option. But the "investment" in dems will be lost.
If Obama's administration will hold status quo then we will pay for everyone on this planet Earth not just for now but for the years to come.
Now you can see, it is tough for folks in Congress. There are some uhm... budget issues on one side and their ligitimacy on another.
No wonder, HR voted against the original bailout, do you remember.
The key is to drug it. US infrastructure will hold way much longer then any other on this planet. Let Chineese dream of pushing us out (they cannot hedge their own holdings without us) as well as Iranians to organize an exchange where dollar will be banned (hey, G Soros blew out British pound one day up to the point that UK temporary "departed" from European Commonnwealth agreement). If we manage to stay still til 2014-2015 it will help us to gain some ligitimacy back as most of "cool guys" will flush themselves down the toilet as global criisis unfolds

Вообще-то, когда я слышу обвинения в глупости в адрес успешных политиков, я к этому отношусь крайне скептически. Будь то Пэйлин, Байден или Буш. Конкуренция в этой области высокая и безжалостная. Поэтому нме кажется маловероятным что дурак может достинуть там успеха на высоком уровне.

Я думаю - это собирательное обвинение.
Если я говорю что Обама или Шарптон - придурки, это не относится напрямую к их умственным способностям. Вариант образа "редиска" - нехороший человек.
