получается, за полную стоимость, в сабвее покупать карту столько же стоит. а стоит ли вообще делать стьюдент метрокард в этом случае?

в каледж зайди и спроси какие есть у них варианты.
Лоу инкомам должны давать фор фрии, в случае если работаешь хотя бы 20 часов в неделю.

The Student Transportation Program was established by the board of the MTA in consultation with the NYC Department of Education. The Student MetroCard is available to students in grades K though 12 and is issued for either half fare or full fare depending on the distance the student must travel to and from school. The Student MetroCard is valid only on days when school is in session, Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 8:30 PM. The Student MetroCard allows up to three rides per day to and from school and school related activities. The Student MetroCard can only be used by the student whose name appears on the card.

Eligibility for and distribution of the Student MetroCard is the responsibility of each local school; you should contact your school administrator for additional information concerning eligibility.

At this time there are no plans to make this program available on the collegiate level. The program is subsidized by New York City and the State of New York.

помимо того, что вы не лоу инкам, вы еще и не резиденты, и не ГК холдеры даже, так что я думаю, что скорее всего не дадут, чем дадут, но сходить все равно стоит.
