    Queen "Friends Will Be Friends"

"Friends Will Be Friends", a Queen song written by Freddie Mercury and John Deacon, from the album A Kind of Magic, was released in the UK on June 9, 1986. It was the band's 30th single release in the UK. It reached number 14 in the UK. It was also to coincide with the band's "Magic Tour" in '86.

Led Zeppelin "Whole Lotta Love (live video)"

...Led Zeppelin concerts could last more than three hours, with expanded, improvised live versions of their song repertoire. Led Zeppelin II (#1 U.K., #1 U.S.). Led Zeppelin II largely writes the blueprint for 1970s hard rock. Blues-derived songs like "Whole Lotta Love", "Heartbreaker", "The Lemon Song" and "Bring It on Home" are now standards of the genre, where the guitar-based riff (rather than vocal chorus or verses) defines the song and provides the key hook. Such arrangements and emphases were at the time atypical in popular music. As such, the album is generally considered to be very influential on the development of rock music, being an early forerunner of heavy metal, and inspiring a host of other rock bands including Deep Purple, Van Halen and Guns N' Roses.

    David Lee Roth "Shoo Bop"

David Lee Roth (sometimes referred to as "Diamond Dave") (born 10 October 1954, in Bloomington, Indiana) is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, actor, author, and former radio personality, best known for his work with the band Van Halen, which he officially re-joined on February 2, 2007 after 22-year absence (although they recorded two songs together in 1996 for a best-of collection, it was not acknowledged as an official reunion). His status as Van Halen's lead singer was in question as of February 20, 2007, when reports surfaced that the tour was indefinitely postponed, and that a previously planned compilation of Roth era hits was likewise shelved. Roth is also a mountain climber and excels in various martial arts.

Deep Purple "Highway star" ( live in Birmingham 1993) video

The original video release did get somewhat overlooked in all the recriminations of Blackmore jumping ship mid-tour, but BMG have taken the controversial 1993 Birmingham NEC footage issued originally on VHS and reauthored it for DVD.
There's no additional footage, so we're missing:
    • 90 seconds of 'Highway Star' including a full verse and the organ solo (at the tail of which Ritchie Blackmore finally arrived on stage, greeted with huge relief from an audience who were starting to believe that he wasn't going to show up at all!)

    Rainbow -" I Surrender" (video)

Difficult to Cure is the fifth LP released by Rainbow, in 1981, and marked a further commercialisation of the band's sound. In an interview in Sounds (July 25th 1981), a UK music paper, Blackmore openly stated his liking for Foreigner and erstwhile vocalist Ronnie James Dio has referred to this period of Rainbow as "Foreigner Junior". It is, however, a popular album with many fans, despite it being markedly different to albums which preceded it.

Grand Funk Railroad "The Loco Motion"

"The Loco-Motion" is a 1962 pop song written by American songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King. Its initial release by Little Eva went to US #1. The song is notable for making Top 5 in the USA three times: for Little Eva (1962); for Grand Funk Railroad in 1974 (US #1); and for Kylie Minogue in 1988 (US #3). It is sometimes categorised as belonging to the '60s girl group sound (which Goffin and King helped create), though it was recorded by a solo artist.

Deep Purple - Come Taste The Band (video)

Come Taste the Band is an album by the hard rock band, Deep Purple, recorded between August 3 and September, 1975 at Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany. The album was co-produced and engineered by the band and longtime band associate Martin Birch. The album was released in October 1975. It was the only studio album with Tommy Bolin, who replaced Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar. When guitarist Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple, many observers and critics assumed that Deep Purple would not continue. It was David Coverdale who asked Jon Lord to keep the band together, and Tommy Bolin was asked to take the guitar slot.
Musically, the album is far more commercial than previous Deep Purple releases, tending toward a conventional hard rock focus with overtones of soul and funk. The album shows the strong influence of Glenn Hughes on the band at this point, who had formed a bond with the equally commercially-minded Bolin. In general the album is considered one of Deep Purple's lesser efforts, although it did sell reasonably well on release (#19 in the UK charts, and #43 in the US).
After tours for this album, Deep Purple broke up for eight years. In 1976 Tommy Bolin died from a heroin overdose.
In recent years the album has received some critical reassessment, primarily due to Bolin's contributions to the album. The album is one of the few recordings of Bolin that was released in his short lifetime.
