UFO "When Daylight Goes To Town"



UFO are an English rock band that was formed in 1969. UFO were a transitional band between the rock of Led Zeppelin and the metal to come in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. UFO's influence was strongly felt in the '80s metal scene and they have been cited as a primary influence of Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Dave Mustaine of Megadeth among others

Queen "A Kind of Magic"



In early 1986 Queen recorded the album A Kind of Magic, containing several songs written for the Russell Mulcahy film Highlander of the same year, as well as a few inspired by (but not used in) the film. This album was very successful, producing a string of hits including the title track "A Kind of Magic", "Friends Will Be Friends", "Who Wants to Live Forever" and "Princes Of The Universe".



A Kind of Magic is a pop rock song written by Roger Taylor for the film Highlander, for which Queen wrote the music. The phrase "a kind of magic" is actually used in the film by Christopher Lambert and impressed Taylor so much that he made it into a full song.
Queen recorded the song intended for the final title sequence of the film with a rock mix, and later Freddie Mercury re-mixed it for the album A Kind Of Magic, making it more of a pop song rather than the rockier version heard in the film.
The song was a Top 10 hit in the UK in 1986 and was a live favourite on the tour of the same year, which proved to be Queen's last with the original foursome.
Notable is that guitarist Brian May didn't use his famous Red Special guitar in the videoclip, instead he used a 1984 copy.
Also notable is that it is the band's first ever title track.

Led Zeppelin "All My Love"



"All My Love"(Plant, Jones) is a song recorded by Led Zeppelin for their 1979 album In Through the Out Door. Written by Robert Plant and John Paul Jones, it features a synthesizer solo by John Paul Jones. Plant wrote the song for his son, Karac, who died from a stomach infection in 1977 at the age of five. It was features live on Led Zeppelin's tour of Europe in 1980. The song is also included on the Led Zeppelin compilation, Early Days & Latter Days and their Remasters collection.

Nazareth "Hair Of The Dog"





Hair of the Dog, was released in 1975. The title track of that album (popularly, though incorrectly, known as "Now You're Messing With A Son Of A Bitch") became a staple of 1970s rock radio. American-Canadian version of the album included originally recorded by The Everly Brothers and also covered by Roy Orbison expressively melodic ballad "Love Hurts" that was released as a hit single in the UK and in the USA, where it went Platinum. In addition, the track became the band's only U.S. Top Ten hit.
