Я всегда беру ретейнер перед тем как начнаю работу. И предсталяю клиенту [itemised bill] по окончанию- таким образом это ограничивает емня от пустых разговорофф.

Еслиб я взял ретейнер в , нузкажем тыш 5...а отработа лтолько 2, пред тем как мен клиент сообшил что он собираеца нарушить закон, ябы вернул бы ему остальные 3. Зачем мне пачкаца

Exactly. In the opinion of most people here - the HONEST thing in this case - would be to return the whole retainer. At least because you WASTED portion of it without any results and under the false pretense that you are working FOR THE CLIENT and not FOR YOURSELF.

How would that be the honest thing to do? The lawyer was doing his job up until the point where he learned that his client was attempting to do something illegal, at which point the attorney decides to no longer represent the client. I don't see how not getting paid for the work that the attorney did so far would be the HONEST thing to do.

That's idiotic.....if you have done the work you shpuld be compesatied for it....would it be fair for a photographer to work a wedding and then expect to be paid for it? What if the customer DOESNT LIKE the pictures?:confused:
