хмм....его сеппука, если я правильно помню, никак не была связана с тем, что он завершил четырехтомник.

On November 25, 1970, Mishima and four members of the Tatenokai, under pretext, visited the commandant of the Ichigaya Camp—the Tokyo headquarters of the Eastern Command of Japan's Self-Defense Forces.[4] Inside, they barricaded the office and tied the commandant to his chair. With a prepared manifesto and banner listing their demands, Mishima stepped onto the balcony to address the soldiers gathered below. His speech was intended to inspire a coup d'etat restoring the powers of the emperor. He succeeded only in irritating them, however, and was mocked and jeered. He finished his planned speech after a few minutes, returned to the commandant's office and committed seppuku.

ну да, харакири....ты себе вспарываешь брюхо, а потом напарник тебе отрубает голову. ....о как.

Yukio Mishima was born in Tokyo in 1925 and graduated from Tokyo Imperial University in 1947, having already written his first novel, which was published in 1948. He completed twenty-two more novels, more than 40 plays, 90 short stories, 100s of essays, and several volumes of poetry and travel writing. In addition, he starred in and directed movies and was a noted practitioner of Japan's traditional martial arts. In November 1970, at age of 45, on the day he completed the final volume in his four-volume cycle of novels, The Sea of Fertility, Mishima committted suicide by ceremonial seppuku.
