The Significance of non-significance
I have argued that in general, and despite popular stereotypes, the males we have tested do not perform any differently from the females on tests of deductive logical competence. I have suggested that the much more significant differences are those produced by age and social situation. I have noted in passing that some factors seem to make small differences (the subject a teacher teaches, perhaps) but that reasoning ability is almost always left to be picked up informally.
If we find then that there are types of scholastic achievement that are strongly skewed sexually, it would appear that we cannot use any supposed innate differences in logical reasoning ability to explain it.

Вообще мне приведенная вами точка зрения импонирует - теперь каждый раз когда я буду встречать мужика (в том числе в моей профессии) который в два раза хуже меня соображает, то я буду знать что на самом деле это в 4 раза. (тк я имею преимущество из за врожденной неполноценности моего женского мозга).

We acquired magnetic resonance images of the brain of an adult Africanelephant, Loxodonta africana, in the axial and parasagittal planes and
produced anatomically labeled images. We quantified the volume of the
whole brain (3,886.7 cm3) and of the neocortical and cerebellar gray and
white matter. The white matter-to-gray matter ratio in the elephant neocortexand cerebellum is in keeping with that expected for a brain of this
size. The ratio of neocortical gray matter volume to corpus callosum crosssectionalarea is similar in the elephant and human brains (108 and 93.7,respectively), emphasizing the difference between terrestrial mammals and cetaceans, which have a very small corpus callosum relative to the volume of neocortical gray matter (ratio of 181–287 in our sample). Finally, the elephant has an unusually large and convoluted hippocampus compared to primates and especially to cetaceans. This may be related to the extremely long social and chemical memory of elephants.
