My husband lives WITH ME. However, my parents do not. I need to be considerate of them when I'm in THEIR house. When they are in MINE, they need to be considerate of ME.

It's a two-way street. Plus, my brother is coming to visit around the holiday time. He wouldn't want to see a tree. If he feels strongly about it, why make it unpleasant for him on purpose? He is considerate of me!;)

PS. One has to be ALWAYS considerate of the immediate family, regardless of geography. IMHO!

If he's considerate of you, then why would he have a problem with a New Year's tree that you decided to put up in YOUR house?
If he didn't like your hair style (and you loved it), would you change it just to be considerate of him? And, if he didn't like your bf (and you loved him), would you break up with the bf just be be considerate of your brother? And, if he didn't like your job (and you loved it), would you change jobs?

Я тут подумала... Мои родители not considerate of me. Мне не нравится как у них картины развешаны. Каждый раз смотрю и вздрагиваю. А им нравится. Может попросить их быть considerate of me и поменять? :confused:
