1. Genta otho- and nephrotoxic.
2. After administration Genta kills sensitive flora within an hour or two, and useless after that. Considering toxicity it is better be used just once in a high dose.

gentamicin is dosed based on weight and creatinine clearance and can be dosed traditionaly ~3xday or 1xday...but why would you give just 1 dose? either piss or get off the pot, as they say.
