Hello!
What is the longest possible length of time one can stay outside of USA without loosing GC (issued for 2 years in 2011; category CR6)?
What are possible consequences (worst case scenario) if one overstays that time?
Thanks for your help!

If you have a travel document (Reentry Permit) you can stay out of States up to 2 years. However, it is strictly recommended not to leave the States more than 1 year.
The worst case scenario is: an immigration officer can suppose that you have abandoned your permanent residency.

Thanks Lev.
Is it possible to apply for Travel Document while outside of the US?
How long can a person stay outside just on a GC?
Thanks.
