Will U.S. landline phone work in Russia?

Hi - Can anyone help please? I am an American who is going to visit a relative in St. Petersburg, Russia. My relative tells me she needs a new telephone. Does anyone know if I can buy a telephone in the U.S. that will work in Russia? (I am talking about a home phone here, not a cell phone). Thanks very much.

I don't think so. i.e. power 220V vs US - 110V (unless phone power adapter supports 220/110). Just bring $$.

Unless this is a cordless phone, or has a built-in answering machine or speaker, there is no power cord involved, only the phone line connection. However, I also recommend to buy it on site, not sure if pulse/tone dial is compatible.
