Hello
I have a green card, happily married. Getting citizenship in 2 years. As far as i know I am allowed to apply for my parents to come to the US once I get citizenship, since they are my immediate relatives.
Well, my parents and my sister got a 2 year travel visa now. My Dad and sister came here, and I put my sister in school, there was no problem there. But my Dad wants to find a job, but since he doesn't have a work permit he obviously can't get a good job. He used to be a military pilot in Russia, became a major, so he can fly pretty much anything. I was trying to find private air companies as well as franchised, but it doesn't look like they sponsor for work visas now....so my questions are:
1. Since I have a Green Card, can my Dad at all get sponsored for a work visa if we find a company? Our lawyer said he is not allowed. I don't believe that.
2. About high schools. Some people say students are allowed to go to public school for only one year, others say only to private schools for 1 year, and public as long as she needs to. I am confused.

Thank you for any advice or answer

PSI don't have russian on my keyboard, that's why i write in english. And translit usually comes out weird. But I am russian and I do read russian.

one more thing. My lawyer says once I get my citizenship I can file for my parents, but NOT for my sister, since she is not my immediate relative...Is that true??

Ok,one more thing then...
She is in high school now, and her I-94 expires soon. Should I do the extension through the lawyer or should I file it myself? What difference does it make beside financial one?

Thank you
