Hey,

I know that we are not to discuss fake stuff in here. But my friend is going to pay to US citizen to get married. She is a student and she cannot sign any financial support papers. I really worry about him and try to explain that it is a mistake.

What are the chances that he is going to be deported? They know each other for few weeks and going to get marriedvery soon.:((

Not "fake", it is called ILLEGAL.

We don't know what the "chances" are, who can say that??
I know one thing- usually it is GREED that gets them, not the authorities- MORE money, MORE AND MORE money, "pay me, or else..."- that's what gets them in trouble.

Plus, if she can not sign affidevit of support, WHO WILL? Without affidevit the whole thing is not going to work anyways.

Don't forget that US citizen also breaking the law if he or she do this (I mean ILLEGAL marriage). As 9999 said, they can ask for more and more money, but if they finaly report illegal marriage, they also may go to jail (I think it is up to 5 years.)
