IRGC Navy Unveils New Underground Missile Base

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has unveiled its new underground missile base at an undisclosed location.

The missile base was unveiled in a ceremony attended by IRGC Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami, IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri, and a number of other top military officials.

The missile base is home to a wide range of defence systems as well as cruise and ballistic missiles with different ranges.

During the Monday ceremony, new missile equipment and systems were also delivered to the IRGC Navy.

The new equipment, which boost the Navy’s capabilities in terms of accuracy, damage level, range, and electronic warfare, have all been developed by Iranian experts at the Defence Ministry, the IRGC research centres, and knowledge-based companies.

Iran Unveils Homegrown ‘Massaf’ Assault Rifle

Iranian Defence Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami has unveiled a domestically-built assault rifle named “Massaf”.

The advanced assault rifle was unveiled along with a number of sport weapons in a ceremony held in Tehran on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

The Iranian assault rifle has a calibre of 7.62×51mm NATO, and its effective firing range equipped with a day vision and a thermal vision scope is respectively 800 and 600 metres.
Massaf is apparently the Iranian version of the German assault rifle HK417, manufactured by Heckler & Koch.

Iran Vows to Level Tel Aviv, Haifa to Ground If Israel Makes Any Mistake

ranian Defence Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami says the Islamic Republic will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa if the Israeli regime commits any mistake.

In comments on Sunday, General Hatami said, “Sometimes, their heads bite off more than they can chew and make threats that are clearly out of desperation.”

“Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei responded well to the Zionists many years ago. He said that the Zionist regime is not our main enemy and not at the level to be hostile against the Islamic Republic. The Zionist regime knows, and if it does not know, it should know that the Islamic Republic will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground if it commits a mistake,” the defence minister added.

“The order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces has been carefully enacted and turned into a blueprint, which will be implemented with a single beckon from the Commnad-in-Chief.”

“I advise them not to make this mistake, even verbally,” he warned Israeli officials.
His comments came after the Israeli minister of military affairs said the regime was updating plans for military strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in case Tehran continues what he characterized as “nuclear escalation”.

In an interview with Fox News, Benny Gantz was asked about Iran’s nuclear program and whether Israel was completing preparations to attack Iranian targets.

“We have them (plans) in our hands of course but we will continue constantly improving them,” he said.

“The Iranian nuclear escalation must be stalled. If the world stops them before, it’s very much good. But if not, we must stand independently and we must defend ourselves by ourselves.”

Iran Developing Wide-Body Combat Drone with Range of 3,000km

The Iranian Army is in final stages of developing the country’s first wide-body combat drone with a range of 3,000 kilometres.

According to Iranian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the drone named Kaman-22 (Bow-22) is the first wide-body combat drone manufactured by local experts.

Speaking on the sidelines of his visit to a site manufacturing the advanced pilotless aircraft, he said the new aircraft is equipped with various combat, optical and electronic warfare systems, and has a flight endurance of over 24 hours and a range of 3,000 kilometres.

Kaman-22 is utilized in a range of operations, such as patrol, reconnaissance, data gathering, imaging, and aerial combat with a payload of smart weapons.

In January, the Iranian Army staged a war game and flew new military suicide drones that can conduct nonstop sorties to hit targets at a range of 4,000 km.

В Иране будет запущена первая линия массового производства вакцины от COVID-19

Одновременно с проведением 2-го и 3-го этапов клинических испытаний вакцины "Ков Иран Баракат" от COVID-19 на людях сегодня был одобрен запуск производственной линии для её серийного производства, передает Trend со ссылкой на ИРНА.

Об этом заявил председатель организации "Штаб-квартира для исполнения распоряжений имама" Мохаммад Мохбер, выступая на церемонии запуска 2-й и 3-й фаз клинических испытаний иранской вакцины "Ков Иран Баракат".

"На первом этапе, серийное производство вакцины "Ков Иран Баракат" составляет 3 млн. доз в месяц", сказал Мохбер.

"В рамках второго этапа будет произведено от 12 до 15 млн доз вакцин в месяц", отметил чиновник, добавив, что вторая фаза массового производства иранской вакцины от COVID-19 начнется в середине мая.

Таким образом, добавил Мохбер, производственная мощность вакцины "Ков Иран Баракат" достигнет 15-20 млн доз в месяц.

Иран начал обогащать уран при помощи улучшенных центрифуг

Иран начал обогащение урана на подземном заводе в Натанзе при помощи усовершенствованных центрифуг IR-4. Об этом, как передает Trend со ссылкой на ТАСС, сообщило агентство Reuters.

"15 марта агентство [МАГАТЭ] подтвердило, что Иран начал подачу природного [фторида урана] UF6 в каскад из 174 центрифуг IR-4, установленный на заводе по обогащению топлива", - приводит Reuters выдержки из доклада Международного агентства по атомной энергии (МАГАТЭ).

Отмечается, что исламская республика указала, что намерена установить второй каскад улучшенных центрифуг на предприятии в Натанзе. Таким образом, по данным МАГАТЭ на 15 марта, Иран использует 5060 центрифуг IR-1, размещенных на 30 каскадах, 522 центрифуги IR-2m, размещенные на трех каскадах, а также один каскад из 174 центрифуг IR-4.

Иран и Куба взаимодействуют в производстве вакцины от COVID-19

Заключительный этап клинических испытаний кубинской вакцины против коронавируса будет завершен в Иране. Об этом, как передает Trend со ссылкой на İRNA, в субботу сообщила Государственная биотехнологическая компания «BioCuba Farma».

100 тыс. доз кубинской вакцины от COVID-19, Soberana-02, были доставлены в Иран в рамках программы сотрудничества Гаваны с другими странами по разработке вакцины.

Управляющий директор «Finlay Vaccine» сказал, что третий этап клинических испытаний Soberana-02 на прошлой неделе начался на Кубе и завершится в некоторых других странах, включая Иран на основе соглашения. Кубинский институт «Finlay Vaccine» и иранский институт «Пастур» в начале 2021 года подписали соглашение об одновременной реализации третьей фазы испытаний вакцины.

Официальный представитель иранского Управления по контролю за продуктами питания и лекарствами Ирана Киануш Джаханпур заявил, что в случае одобрения результатов вакцины Soberana-02, начнется ee массовое производство в Иране и на Кубе.

Iranian, Turkish Foreign Ministers Meet in Istanbul

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu had a meeting in Istanbul on Friday, March 19, 2021.

During the meeting, the two sides conferred on various issues in bilateral political ties, history, and the agenda of Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Commission as well as other solutions to develop mutual ties.

Zarif and Cavusoglu also discussed regional issues, joint cooperation in fight against terrorism, and the Syria developments.
