U.S. Army announces large-scale deploy in support of Atlantic Resolve mission in Europe

On 19 October, the U.S. Army Europe has announced the large-scale deploy of armored and aviation brigades in support of Atlantic Resolve mission in Europe.

Soldiers with the 1st Infantry Division’s 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team and 1st Combat Aviation Brigade are slated to deploy in early 2019 in support of the Atlantic Resolve mission in Europe.

The brigades, based out of Fort Riley, Kansas, are the fourth iteration of Atlantic Resolve back-to-back rotations. They will deploy to various locations throughout Central and Eastern Europe where they will conduct multinational training and security cooperation activities with allies and partners.

The armored brigade will deploy with more than 3,500 Soldiers around the end of January with approximately 85 Abrams tanks; 135 Bradley Fighting and Fire Support Vehicles; 15 Paladins; and other support equipment.

“After spending the last several months conducting an intensive and comprehensive training cycle that included a National Training Center rotation, the Devil Brigade is looking forward to deploying to Europe in support of the Atlantic Resolve mission,” said Col. Charles Armstrong, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team commander.

The aviation brigade’s approximately 1,900 Soldiers will follow in February with approximately 50 UH-60 and HH-60 Black Hawks; 10 CH-47 Chinooks; 20 AH-64 Apaches; and 1,500 pieces of support equipment.

“The 1st Combat Aviation Brigade is excited to deploy to Europe to support our allies and regional partners,” said Col. Chris Black, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade commander. “The 1st CAB has been busy building readiness at Fort Riley, Kansas, and we stand ready to take on any mission that is required. We are thankful for the support of our families and know the people of the Flint Hills will be there for our loved ones until we return.

“Atlantic Resolve is a demonstration of continued U.S. commitment to NATO allies and partner nations in Eastern Europe through continuous, enhanced multinational training and security cooperation activities designed to build readiness, increase lethality, improve interoperability and strengthen relationships among military forces.

госдеп уже выразил сожалению по поводу этого досадного недоразумения. но сожалений мало. демократия должна главенствовать. поэтому, за это надо ввести жесткие санкции в отношении депутата от города Туруханск что в красноярском крае.
