A 21-year-old man was arrested late Saturday night in Hounslow in west London under the Terrorism Act, authorities said. No additional information was immediately available about the second suspect.

Previously, an 18-year-old man was arrested for possible involvement in the attack that injured 29 people.
On Saturday, police scoured the country in search of possible suspects. Their efforts led them to the suburban London home of an elderly couple honored for their work with child refugees. The property was registered to Ronald Jones, 88, and his 71-year-old wife, Penelope, who have been honored by Queen Elizabeth after taking care of 268 foster children, the Times of London reported.

Neighbors told the Sun that the couple have six children of their own and had started taking foster children after seeing the plight of refugees displaced from Syria and elsewhere.

The 18-year-old, whom authorities tracked using facial recognition technology, was believed to be a foster child taken in by Jones and his wife, according to the Sun, which also quoted a neighbor saying the elderly couple's foster children were Syrian.

Police say a group of men sprayed a "noxious substance" at shoppers in London Saturday night, causing as many as six injuries.

The Metropolitan Police said one man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm at the Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre in east London.

So far we have treated at least five patients at the scene and taken three patients to hospital," said London Ambulance Service assistant director of operations Paul Gibson. "We remain on the scene." The discrepancy in the number of reported injuries could not immediately be reconciled.

Sky News reported that authorities were not treating the incident as terror-related and there was the possibility that other suspects were at large.

Witnesses said an argument broke out among a group of people prior to the incident.

A man who gave his name as Hossen, an assistant manager at Burger King, said he saw a victim and his friend, a local homeless man, run into the restaurant's bathroom to "wash acid off his face".

"There were cuts around his eyes and he was trying to chuck water into them," the man said.

The shopping center opened in 2011 and is located near the site of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

A Muslim schoolteacher was found guilty on Friday of attempting to recruit children into an “army” of jihadists to assist in carrying out a wave of terror attacks across London.
Umar Haque, a 25-year-old British supporter of the Islamic State, reportedly showed children violent Islamist propaganda including beheading videos, and forced the youngsters to rehearse attacks on police officers in the British capital.

As part of his defence, Haque argued that lying and jihad constituted part of his religion and he blamed “fascists” and police for his crimes, telling jurors he had been “preparing self-defence” against a “fascist” uprising, and said there were “fascist police as well as fascist groups.”Using role-playing, Haque sought to prepare a young army for Islamist terror attacks to be carried out in locations such as the Palace of Westminster and Westfield shopping centre. Prosecutors claimed that Haque intended to use his child soldiers to assail highly visible London targets such as the Big Ben tower, soldiers from the Queen’s Guards, a large shopping centre, banks, and media stations.

“He tried to prepare the children for martyrdom by making them role-play terrorist attacks. Part of that role-playing was re-enacting attacking police officers,” said Dean Haydon, head of the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command.
