The court of London has satisfied the petition of Ukraine to suspend the implementation of the decision on Eurobond debt to Russia.

The English high court recognized the right of Ukraine to appeal in the case of the so-called debt of Yanukovych. According to him, Russia has provided Ukraine with $3 billion in debt at the time of former President of Ukraine.

This reports the press center of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

“The high court ruled in favor of the position of Ukraine on the full suspension of the execution of the decisions issued in the summary procedure, pending consideration of the appeal of Ukraine”, – stated in the message

The court confirmed, in spite of attempts of Russia to set burdensome conditions for filing an appeal of the Ukrainian side, Ukraine has granted permission to appeal the decision. Mr justice Blair acknowledged that the threshold conditions for the grant of leave to appeal complied with, namely, the appeal has a real prospect of success.

In December 2013, during the Maidan, the then President Viktor Yanukovych signed an agreement in Moscow about 15-billion loan from Russia. 3-billion loan, issued in evroobligatsiy, which was redeemed by Russia, was to become the first tranche of this loan. The parties agreed that disputes will be resolved by British law.

In February 2014 Yanukovych fled from Ukraine to Russia. After the change of power in Ukraine, Kiev tried to include the sum of $ 3 billion. the overall package during negotiations on restructuring other external obligations. However, Moscow refused. Insisted that the duty of a state, as the negotiations for the loan took place at the highest state level.

In December 2015, the Ukrainian government imposed a moratorium on debt payments. At the beginning of 2016 Russia asked for this debt in court.

Мне прикольна как бывший премьер министр Лазаренко вывел 600 млн долларов из Украины и потом осел в штатах,чистый кидняк народа Украины и плевок.Нее ,вот представьте к примеру Медведев вывел миллиард долларов и потом перебралься в штаты.Кстати что там с этим Лазаренко.
