Miux features
Miux will have a new desktop environment which will make its look as close to Windows 10 as possible. It is supposed to work seamless with Windows mobile OS. In other important features, Miux will not hold you up while installing and configuring the updates at each start or shutdown. It will not have either of IE 11 or Spartan as default browser, instead Microsoft is working on a new web browser named Asterix for Miux.
Miux will cost 50% less than the usual Windows 10 price for individuals while it’s enterprise version will have a yearly subscription which can be bought on per user basis.

In the fall, Microsoft announced that it would add Linux-like container technology to a future version of Windows. Today, the company revealed that it’s also developing a super-slim version of Windows that will run what it describes as a new kind of container—one that provides an added level of security. The OS is called Windows Server Nano.
According to Microsoft spokesman Mike Schutz, the company is building a way of wrapping containers in its Hyper-V “virtualization” technology, so that they’re completely isolated from each other. But the real news seems to be that Microsoft will offer a stripped-down operating system along the lines of CoreOS, a Linux operating system that’s particularly suited to running containers across a large number of computers. This kind of operating system represents the future of online services, which necessarily run on hundreds or even thousands of machines—or what industry marketers like to call the cloud.
The move is yet another example of Microsoft changing with the times. For many years, the company tried to push the world towards its way of thinking. But under new CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft is revamping its technologies to suit the way the world is moving.
It’s also important that Windows Server Nano will offer containers. Containers provides a way encapsulating software so that developers and businesses can more efficiently run applications across a large number of machines. In essence, you can readily move these containers from machine to machine, as well as squeeze many of them onto the same machine, to take advantage of any unused computing power.

Microsoft Launches Its .NET Distribution For Linux And Mac
Posted Apr 29, 2015
Last November, Microsoft said that it would bring some of the core features of its .NET platform — which has traditionally been Windows-only — to Linux and Mac. Today, at its Build developer conference, the company announced its first full preview of the .NET Core runtime for Linux and Mac OS X.
In addition, Microsoft is making the release candidate of the full .NET framework for Windows available to developers today.
The highlight here, though, is obviously the release of .NET Core for platforms other than Windows. As Microsoft VP of its developer division S. “Soma” Somasegar told me earlier this week, the company now aims to meet developers where they are — instead of necessarily making them use Windows — and .NET Core is clearly part of this move.
Microsoft says it is taking .NET cross-platform in order to build and leverage a bigger ecosystem for it. As the company also noted shortly after the original announcement, it decided that, to take .NET cross-platform, it had to do so as an open source project. To shepherd it going forward, Microsoft also launched the .NET Foundation last year.
While it’s still somewhat of a shock for some to see Microsoft active in the open-source world, it’s worth remembering that that the company has made quite a few contributions to open source projects lately.
Even before the .NET framework announcement, the company had already open-sourced the Roslyn .NET Compiler platform. Earlier this year, Microsoft shuttered its MS OpenTech subsidiary, which was mostly responsible for its open source projects, in order to bring these projects into the overall Microsoft fold.
