Заполняю online application в университет и там вопросик...

Are you legally authorized to enroll at an academic institution in the United States?

А что, бывает так, что кто-то не имеет права получать образование в сша?

Кстати, там еще о визах спрашивают. "Есть ли у вас в данный момент US виза?"

Такое ощущение, что они репортят куда-то каждого подающего документы..

Any student who has failed to maintain status or complete his or her program;

A change of the student's or dependent's legal name or U.S. address;

но ведь энролмент, это ведь физическое начало обучения, а не эппликэйшн или факт того, что студента зачислили, так ведь? они ведь не должны репортить иммиграционной службе каждого, кто подал документы на поступление?

и какая им разница до того, какая у меня есть виза, если я физически нахожусь за пределами сша?

Им нужно знать, посылать ли вас через Foreign students office, и для иностранцев - другие deadlines.

сейчас все заносится в компьютер - пойдете за визой, а у них на экране уже покажет, кто куда энрол. справкам с печатями не верят!

про энролл, может быть. А если я просто applied? тоже все в комп заносится? и если я еду в сша просто в командировку, но applied to a business school, они тоже это узнают? Из-за этого могут быть проблемы при въезде?

Им нужно знать, посылать ли вас через Foreign students office, и для иностранцев - другие deadlines.

Не знаю, при наличии строки "ваше гражданство" этот вопрос теряет смысл, если говорить о том, через кого просессить мой эпликейшн..

А вы не могли бы подсказать какие то конкретные заведения? я сама пыталась покопаться в сети, но что то как-то не очень успешно :( так что была бы благодарна за любой кусочек информации так сказать (особенно если можете подсказать что то в окрестностях Нью Йорка)

Ну погуглите уж что-нибудь типа "nyc graduate schools" - информации много.
