Responsibilities



This candidate will manage and execute a number of WMR initiatives projects and potentially a team of 7-15 QC analysts responsible for the creation and execution of test plans for assigned projects to insure adherence to deadlines and firm’s best practices.



The individual must have strong leadership and project management experience; a mature, constructive approach to application testing, issue identification, problem resolution; and the ability to meet tight deadlines under changing business priorities. Specific QA/QC certification is a plus. (From PMI, QAI, IIST, or other organization)

Job responsibilities will include

  • Oversight and guidance of QC projects with the following tasks:
  • Act as QC Lead on multiple projects.
  • Creation of test plans for assigned projects and applications.
  • Develop test cases based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and development standards for assigned projects/applications.
  • Provide intelligent time estimates for test planning and execution to project managers.
  • Maintain existing test plans and test cases based on code changes and enhancements to assigned applications.
  • Perform system load/stress tests for selected applications.
  • Track issues and work with project managers and developers to resolve.
  • Create and send issue reports to project team and management during test cycles.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, clearly identifying the responsibilities of IT vs. the business and any gaps.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics, pre and post production

· Participate in project health checks.

· Assist with stage environment setup for all projects and insure all
necessary and appropriate access is in place for each team member on
projects and investigate all related issues.

· Enforce use of group standard test document templates and methodology

· Resource allocation, performance review and career development of staff

· Potential night and weekend work required



Required Experience

· 5-10 years overall information technology experience with five plus years in the financial industry, preferably with a minimum of 3-4 years in capital markets with respect to any or all of the following applications: Asset / Wealth Management, trust, hedge funds, performance reporting

· 3+ years managing a staff of 5 or more with the ability to develop individuals

Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects
· Experience in full life-cycle project management.

Excellent analytical and communication skills including ability to facilitate and lead large meetings.
Automated testing tools, Mercury QuickTest Pro & Mercury Quality Center, preferred.
SQL knowledge, preferred
