    Default Любителям Популярной Музыки!

Ну я думал вот, что, надо ещё про поп-музыку вспомнить... Она нам даёт повседневное настроение, неправда-ли? ;)

    Donna Summer "I Feel Love"

Donna Summer (born LaDonna Adrian Gaines on December 31, 1948) is an American pop music singer best known for a string of disco music hits in the 1970s that earned her the title "Queen of Disco".
Summer was a rarity in the 1970s disco scene because her career began before the disco explosion and continued afterward. Even though she is one of the best-known artists of the disco era, Summer has covered different genres including R&B, rock and roll and gospel music, earning her Grammy Awards in those categories. Her work is still critically acclaimed, and she remains one of the few disco artists accepted by modern rock critics.
Born in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, Summer began performing in her church's choir. She later joined a rock group called Crow. A few months before graduating from high school, Summer dropped out and joined the German productions of Hair, Godspell, and Show Boat over the next few years. She eventually settled in Europe, joining the Viennese Folk Opera and participating in numerous musicals.

    Abba "Mamma Mia"

ABBA (1972–1982) was a Swedish pop music group.
They remain the most successful Swedish music act and were one of the most popular groups in the world. The group dominated charts worldwide during the mid-to-late 1970s and early 1980s, selling many hit singles and albums. Estimates of ABBA's total worldwide sales vary from 360 to 400 million (360 million albums in 1999), which makes them the second most successful band of all time after The Beatles. They were the first act from the European mainland to become a regular fixture in British, American and Australian charts, and their success subsequently opened the doors for many other European acts. Their lasting legacy is the legitimisation of the Swedish music industry as a mainstream player.
ABBA was formed around 1972 by Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (nicknamed "Frida"). They became widely known after winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with "Waterloo". The group consisted of two couples, Björn and Agnetha along with Benny and Frida. ABBA collectively decided to take a break at the beginning of 1983. They have yet to record together again in the studio.

John was one of the dominant commercial forces in the rock world during the 1970s, racking up a string of ten consecutive #1 records on the U.S. album charts. He has maintained a public presence in the fight against AIDS, and has had renewed moments of commercial triumph, such as his defiant hit "I'm Still Standing" and his award-winning work on the popular animated film The Lion King

    Madonna "MegaMix"

Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone (Madonna) (born August 16, 1958) is an American pop singer, dancer, songwriter, roducer, actress, and author. Noted for her innovative music videos, elaborately mounted stage performances, and often controversial use of sexual and religious themes and imagery in her work, Madonna has gained worldwide fame and notoriety throughout her career.
Madonna emerged from the New York City club scene to become one of the most successful recording artists of the 1980s and 1990s. Her early work consisted mainly of dance pop music, which was often dismissed by critics despite its popularity. As her style evolved and matured, she earned respect and acclaim, culminating in her winning five Grammy Awards. Her renown as a recording artist and performer led to a variety of acting roles, which has remained secondary to her music career. In 1992, Madonna also co-founded Maverick Records, which was sold to Warner Music Group in 2004.
Madonna is frequently referred to as the "Queen of Pop", and she is the recipient of numerous awards for her music and videos. In 2000, The Guinness Book of Records credited her as the most successful female recording artist of all time, with estimated worldwide sales of 120 million albums.[1] Her record label, Warner Bros., reported in 2005 that she had achieved international sales in excess of 200 million albums.[2]

    Blondie "Atomic"

Blondie are an American rock band that first gained fame in the 1970s and early 1980s. They were pioneers in the early American punk rock and New Wave scene.
Deborah Ann Harry (born July 1, 1945 in Miami, Florida) is an American rock and roll musician who grew up in Union City, New Jersey. She originally gained fame as the frontwoman for New Wave band Blondie, which originated in the mid 1970s and achieved commercial success in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
She was a regular at CBGB's, a famous New York City club that was an early center for punk rock.
Her band Blondie became the epitome of the New Wave style, and Debbie Harry, with her two-tone bottle-blonde hair, became its best known icon. Launching just on the cusp of MTV, Debbie Harry and Blondie put out some of the first rock music videos, in some cases inventing some of the clichés of the form.
Up to that point, rock had been a heavily male-dominated field. Many women musicians have acknowledged Debbie Harry's pioneering role.[]

    Berlin "Take My Breath Away"

    Berlin "Sex (I'm A ...)"

Berlin was an American new wave band featuring lead singer Terri Nunn. Berlin was formed in Orange County, California in 1979. Their first single, "A Matter of Time," was relased in 1980 on I.R.S. Records and featured replacement vocalist Virginia Macolino on lead vocals after Nunn had temporarily left the band to pursue an acting career. Their first significant hit was the controversial synth-driven "Sex (I'm A...)" (1982), which was banned by some radio stations due to it's graphic lyrics, but it was "Take My Breath Away" (from the movie Top Gun) that became their best-selling single in 1986. They had two other hits: "The Metro", which was later covered by System of a Down, and "No More Words."
