Eagles "Hotel California (live)"



The Eagles' Hotel California, came out in late 1976. "New Kid in Town" was a #1 hit in Billboard on February 26, 1977 and "Hotel California" on May 7, 1977. The striking, mournful ballad "Wasted Time" closed the first side of the record, while an instrumental reprise of it opened the second side. The album concluded with "The Last Resort". In all Hotel California is generally considered to be the Eagles' masterpiece, and has appeared on several lists of the best albums of all time; it is also easily their best-selling studio album.
Using Hotel California as a metaphor for the nation, Eagles touched on many themes, including innocence (and the loss thereof), the dangers, temptations, and transient nature of fame, shallow relationships, divorce and loss of love, the end results of manifest destiny, and the "American Dream".

Laura Branigan "Maybe I Love You "



Laura Branigan (July 3, 1957 – August 26, 2004) was a popular American singer/actress from Brewster, New York, best known in the U.S. for the song "Gloria" (1982). She received the first of four Grammy Award nominations for the song. Branigan introduced the ballad "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" (1983), making the song a standard, recorded by dozens of artists throughout the world in the years since. "Self Control" (1984) was her biggest-selling album, and the title track became an international Number One hit. Her other Top 40 hits included "Solitaire," "The Lucky One," "Spanish Eddie," and "The Power of Love." She was of Irish and Italian ancestry.

Gloria Estefan (born Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo on September 1, 1957 in Havana, Cuba) is a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-author, who began her career as lead vocalist for the Hispanic dance music band, Miami Sound Machine, in 1975. They crossed over to mainstream popular success with English-speaking audiences with the international hit singles, "Dr. Beat" (1984) and "Conga" (1986).

Known as the "Queen of Latin Pop," Estéfan is one of the world's most recognized popular music artists. With over 70 million albums sold worldwide, she is the single most successful crossover performer in Latin music history.

In addition to her music career, Estefan has appeared in two movies, Music of the Heart (1999) and For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story (2000). She is slated to star as Connie Francis, a U.S. pop singer whose peak commercial success was in the late 1950s and early 1960s, in Who's Sorry Now?, based on Francis' life. Filming is reportedly scheduled to begin in 2006.
