    Queen "It's Late"

News of the World is a Queen album released on October 28, 1977.
Containing such hit songs as "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" (which are both commonly heard at sporting events) and "Spread Your Wings", the album went four times platinum in the United States alone and is tied with 1980's The Game as Queen's best American selling album.
The album is considered one of Queen's strongest albums, albeit a bit of an abrupt departure from the band's progressive mysticism into a much more spontaneous recording. Brian May confirmed this on In the Studio with Redbeard which devoted an entire episode to News of the World.

"It's Late" is a hard rock song written by Queen guitarist Brian May and performed by the same band. The song was May's idea of treating a song as a three-act theatrical play, and the verses are called "acts" in the lyrics sheet. It makes use of the tapping technique one year before Eddie Van Halen supposedly "invented" it, although May told Guitarist Magazine in 1982 that he was inspired by an unnamed bar-band guitarist from Texas. The song is notable for its length and very heavy, raw and bluesy guitar riff, using the previously mentioned technique.

    Black Sabbath "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"

"Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is a heavy metal song by British group, Black Sabbath. It comes off the album self-titled Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. It was released on the album in 1973. The song is the opening track on the album. It appears as the 12th track in the 2006 Black Sabbath Greatest Hits 1970-1978 album.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath starts out with a more progressive sound and riff. The lyrics and sound to the song appears to be inspired by the band's frustration with their former manager and the sense of betrayal they had felt at times. The song deals with a person who is betrayed and lied to.

    Ted Nugent "Cat Scratch Fever"

Cat Scratch Fever is an album by Ted Nugent released in 1977, as well as the name of the album's title song.
The name alludes to a disease referred to as CSD or cat scratch fever, so called because it is typically transmitted from cats to humans by cat scratches. Questioned recently, Ted Nugent states that he never had this disease, but hears regularly from the occasional fan who has contracted it. However, it can be argued that CSD is not really the basis of the title song, but a way to cleverly disguise another message. There are some obvious double entendres in the song alluding to sex and women, if the lyrics are interpreted as slang. The title song has been repeatedly covered, among others by Motörhead (on the March ör Die album) and by Pantera. The song is also the theme song for Arena Football's San Jose SaberCats.

    Rainbow "Tarot Woman"

Rising is a heavy metal album by Rainbow, released in 1976 (see 1976 in music). With only Ronnie James Dio and Ritchie Blackmore remaining from the previous album, Rising has become known as the best album of Rainbow's career. Rising is characterized for its heavy guitar riffs and the keyboard skills of Tony Carey coupled with the thunderous energised drumming of Cozy Powell. Recorded in Munich in less than a month, the album has surprisingly few overdubs and was overseen by famous rock producer Martin Birch...

Guns N' Roses "Paradise City" (video clip)

"Paradise City" is one of the most famous songs written by the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. It is included on the 1987 album Appetite for Destruction. The song's riff is credited to Slash, while he was in another band with Duff McKagan, and the tune just came to him. Along with "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Sweet Child O' Mine", it is one of Guns N' Roses' most enduring influences on the world of music. The famed chorus, "Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty", is thought to be a reference to heroin, though in an appearance on the BBC's Never Mind The Buzzcocks Slash says the original line was "where the girls are fat and they've got big titties". "Paradise City" is (probably coincidentally) also an anagram of 'easy acid trip'.
"Paradise City" is thought by some to be about Los Angeles and its corruption at the time.
