Default Warning: Are We Too Familiar With the Communist Manifesto?

Warning: Are We Too Familiar With the Communist Manifesto of 1848?

Examine the 10 planks of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto and see if they seem to be "present" in our society and government today.

    1) Abolition of private property

    2) Heavy progressive income tax

    3) Abolition of rights of inheritance (say, a 51% inheritance tax?)

    4) Confiscation of property rights

    5) Central Bank

    6) Government ownership of communication and transportation

    7) Government ownership of factories and agriculture

    8. Government control of labor

    9) Corporate farms, regional planning

    10) Government control of education.

Dear friend, I like this colorful topics... I will say you my opinion:
Capitalism and Communism are, in practical terms, the same. The principles are opponents, of course, but all is reduced to this: the power (political, economic, social...) is in the hands of few men. The true democracy is an abstract idea that only exist in some Swiss Cantons. You are right, the Communist Manifiesto is very present now like in 1848...
