Play the Game (Mercury) is a song by the band Queen. It is the first track on the first side of their 1980 album The Game. It commences with a series of overlapping rushing noises, heralding the band's acceptance of electronic instruments into their once explicitly "no synths" sonic lineup. They played it in their live shows from 1980 to 1982.

Rush "Tom Sawyer"



"Tom Sawyer" is a 1981 song by Canadian progressive rock band Rush named for Mark Twain's literary character. The song relies heavily on Geddy Lee's skill as a synthesist and the techniques of drummer Neil Peart. It is one of Rush's best-known songs and is a staple of classic rock radio.

Moving Pictures is the eighth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1981 (see 1981 in music). The album was recorded and mixed at Le Studio, Morin Heights, Quebec.
A classic rock album, Moving Pictures became the band's first Platinum selling album in the US hitting #3 and remains the band's most popular studio recording to date (certified Quadruple Platinum (4 million copies sold) on January 27, 1995).
Following the formula of their previous album, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures follows a more radio-friendly format and includes the hit single "Tom Sawyer", as well other radio standards such as "Red Barchetta" and "Limelight".

Land of Confusion is a pop rock song written by the band Genesis for their 1986 album Invisible Touch, Land of Confusion was the third track on the album and was the fourth track from the album to become a single. The music was written by the band, while the lyrics were written by guitarist Mike Rutherford. The lyrics, further emphasized by the music video (see below), discuss the greed and uncertainty of the Cold War-era 1980s, but evoke a sense of hope for the future.

Genesis "Abacab"





Abacab is a 1981 studio album by British band Genesis. The album marks a sharp stylistic jump, begun by the band on its preceding album Duke, away from their progressive rock style of the 1970s and toward a more radio-friendly pop music sound. Despite the change, the title track, "No Reply At All", "Keep It Dark" and "Man on the Corner" were all respectable hits as singles and Abacab earned Genesis further fans, with the album hitting UK #1 and US #7, and selling several million copies worldwide.
Another noteworthy element of Abacab is drummer Phil Collins' further refinement of his distinctive drum sound, involving reverberation, noise gates and compression in order to achieve an inordinately loud and authoritative percussive effect.

Они мне нравились, там был традиционный российский рок. Я других таких станций больше не знаю. "Авторадио" уже в печёнках, "русское радио" я слушать не могу и "Европу плюс" тоже.
Сегодня попробовала послушать радиостанцию в Риге, но они полдня щупали ёлочную игрушку в мешке, а потом запел Витас.
