John Clayton Mayer (born on October 16, 1977) is a American Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist. Originally from Connecticut where his father was the principal of Bridgeport High School, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998 where he refined his skills and began gaining a following. After originally performing mainly acoustic rock, in 2005 he made a transition towards the blues genre with the formation of the John Mayer Trio. His latest album, entitled Continuum, was released on September 12, 2006.

Astronaut (11 October 2004) #3 UK, #17 U.S. is an album by British band Duran Duran, first released on October 11, 2004 (see 2004 in music).
This was Duran Duran's first studio album since Pop Trash (2000), and the first full album since Seven and the Ragged Tiger (1983) to be recorded by the original five members of the band. The first single, "(Reach Up For The) Sunrise" debuted at #5 in the UK singles chart. In late November, it reached #1 on the US Billboard Dance Chart.
