1) Final Report -- CT Scan of the neck
Indication: Left neck mass.
Findings: Maltiple large soft tissue masses are visualized on the left deep to the sternocleidomastoid muscle. The largest mass lesion is 4.4 X 3 cm in transverse dimension. Another mass is approximately 2.3 X 1.7 in maximum dimension. The aggregate transverse dimension is 5.4 cm, and the anterior to posterior dimension is approximately 2.6 cm. This are consistent with multiple pathologically enlarged lymph nodes. Large lymph nodes continue inferiorly to involve the supraclavicular fossa. The right neck appears unremarable with nonpathologic lymph nodes seen on the right. Normal thyroid gland and submandibular glands. These lymph nodes are hypovascular. These appear to be significantly enlarged and could be due to neoplastic atiologies such as lymphoma.
Impression: Markedly enlarged lymph nodes in the left neck posterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle with the largest node approximately 4.4 X 3 cm in maximum dimension. Lymphoma and malignant etiologies are likely the etiology.
Maltiple enlarged lymph nodes
2) Final Report -- CT Scan of the chest
Indication: Neck and chest mass, lymphadenopathy.
Findings: There is a 2.9 X 3.9 cm soft tissue mass in the anterior mediastinum situated anterior to the thoracic aorta. Multiple smaller lymph nodes are also visualized adjacent to this lesion in the superior mediastinum anteriorly. There is no significant parathracheal adenopathy. Nonpathologic pretracheal lymph nodes are visualized. No subcarinal adenopathy. No hilar adenopathy.
Impression: 2.9 X 3.9 cm anterior mediastinal soft tissue mass. Multiple enlarged lymph nodes are seen in the left neck as well involving the supraclavicular chain in the poterior triangle. Given the presence of soft tissue masses in the left neck and the anterior mediastinum, lymphoma is suspected.
