Navy Creates Epic Penis in Skies Over Washington State

When this story broke, a lot, and I mean A LOT of people were sending me the link. I mentioned it to our news guy and he goes “I can’t imagine why.” For those of you who don’t know, I’m the immature jerk who likes to add phallic art to existing pictures.

Yesterday, November 16th, penises were spotted in the skies over Omak, which is in north central Washington. As you can see, locals were impressed enough to snap pics and share the epic sky drawings on social media. Others weren’t so amused, one mother told KREM 2 News in Spokane that she found the sky art offensive and didn’t like having to explain the drawings to her kids. (She couldn’t have just told them it was a rocket?)

So who created this beautiful art? The Navy has taken credit for the shenanigans. Officials with the Naval Air Station at Whidbey Island (Puget Sound) have confirmed that one of their aircraft was responsible for the “obscenity.”

After 30 years in the U.S., where she raised three children, worked and paid taxes in Sterling Heights, Zahrija Purovic, 50, was put on a plane and sent to Montenegro on Thursday.

Despite no criminal record and a pending motion for a stay of removal in federal appeals court, immigration authorities ordered her to pack her belongings, purchase a plane ticket and appear at Detroit Metro Airport.

Upon arriving with family members and friends around 4 p.m. Thursday, two ICE agents told Purovic that she had not been granted a stay, and escorted her to her flight.

During an emotional goodbye, a friend

of 16 years collapsed to the floor while hugging Purovic. After regaining consciousness, the woman asked the ICE agents if they could say one last goodbye.

"No," the agent said, and escorted Purovic to her gate.

Her lawyer called the deportation nonsensical, and said Purovic has few ties to her native country, having never gone back since moving to the U.S. at age 19.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson declined to discuss her case.

Israel and U.S. officials on Monday inaugurated the first permanent American military base in the country, which will house dozens of U.S. troops and a missile defense system.

The base will be located within the Israel Defense Forces Air Defense School in southern Israel, near Beersheba, Defense News reported.

The facility will include a barracks and several other buildings for U.S. troops to be stationed in the country, as well as systems to identify and intercept various aerial threats. It will operate under Israeli military directives.

Israeli Air Force Brig. Gen. Zvika Haimovich said the base is largely to serve as “a joint Israeli and American effort to sustain and enhance our defensive capabilities,” and will not bring operational changes such as training or exercises.

“It’s a message that says Israel is better prepared. It’s a message that says Israel is improving the response to threats,” Haimovich, the commander of Israel’s aerial defense, told The Associated Press.

The Pentagon already operates an independent facility nearby in the Negev Desert. The facility is used only by Americans and is meant to detect and warn of a possible ballistic missile attack from Iran.

Israel has been increasingly concerned with Iran’s development of long-range missiles and considers the country to be its greatest threat.
