Я не уверена была ли такая тема.

У меня брат задумался привезти сюда жену рожать. Я узнаю сколько это будет стоить (обычно штук 30 + проживание и тд), а потом подумала про всех беженцев, которые живут здесь нелегально они ведь как то получают страховку....

возможно ли купить страховку нелегалу, который приехал чисто на 6-7 месяцев пожить и родить ? Может есть страховки чтобы платить 50/50 с государством или как то еще? Я поишу конечно, но может кто то сталкивался с подобным вопросом ? Возможно, что в разных штатах разные требования.

Может можно купить страховку за полную стоимость, которая все покроет и это будет чуть дешевле, чем платить наличкой ?

I have a sister who came over last week @ 34 weeks pregnant. And she was so huge that you must know. The US immigration stopped her, checked her visa and asked her through. You know why, she has a B1/B2 visa. B2 includes trips to the US for medicals. As long as you can show proof of funds that you can afford your medicals you wont be turned back

Another pregnant lady on the same Delta flight was refused entry as her visa read only B1. You need to check your visa now and be sure it states B1/B2. The B2 part is the most important but most people actually do not know and assumes any US visa can get them past immigration for any purpose. Unlike the UK where there is a specific visa for medicals, US medical visa is covered under B2 and if you have it, even if they can measure your pregnancy they wont be sending you back as long as you have about $10,000 or over which is about what my sister showed them

Additionally, if you are pregnant and entering the U.S. at a border port of entry via vehicle, be aware the radiation detection portals deployed at the ports do not emit any radiation, and do not present a hazard to you and your unborn child.

You will however, get the bill in the mail later. But you won't have to pay anything upfront and the hospital will work out a payment plan with you later.

интересно, а мексы так рожают? А если потом забивают на оплату, они уже не могут въехать или выехать ? типо если выезжаешь потом влияет этот счет из госпиталя на въезд в США?

А мне вот любопытно: нелегалы, которые уже тут в стране, и вообще малоимущие люди - они как рожают. Не отправят же их в больнице домой, если денег не хватает.

Anyway, the lady said I am not eligible for medicaid for the simple reson that I am not US citizen. What I was trying to tell her was about EMERGENCY MEDICAID which is available for non US citizen. I know that they can't turn me away if I go to the emergency room. But I know also that they will bill me a very ridiculous amount like $40,000 that will make us financially ruined.

она филипинка, и родила в результате на родине в лучшем госпитале за 2 штуки. А вот если бы она в США эти 40 штук не выплатила, чтобы было?

У меня клиент здесь попал в госпиталь на 150 штук, страховка его покрыла 60, а остальные он не заплатил. Вот мне интересно, а его в США еще пустят ? я писала эту историю, как мы выкрали его из госпиталя....в каньоне упал с мотоцикла один вертолет, который его забирал стоил 30 штук.....

That affidavit of support was to be signed so that the state and federal government don't have to pay for these types of expenses. Unfortunately your stuck between a rock and a hard place. I hope you can find a better way because you are right it is very expensive.

В Нью-Йорке матери и ребенку страховка дается независимо от статуса. Начинает работать за пару месяцев до родов. Но вот можно ли ее получить с действительным статусом В2 -- у меня большие сомнения. Надо сначала статус потерять (и совесть), чтобы начать потом доить государство.
