My wife currently holds an OPT (valid until Feb. 2011; she is currently looking for a job) and a multiple entry tourist visa valid until 2012. We want to apply for adjustment of status for her (now that we got married this month) but we are afraid that if we apply now (October 2010) she will not be able to travel and re-enter the country when we travel in January 2011. Should we just wait until we come back from our trip in January (she can use her tourist visa for re-entry, right?) and apply for her green card then, or we can still do it now ?
