Yea, the language barrier. It's always a problem. How old is your daughter? I don't even know if my kids are going to speak Bulgarian at all. This doesn't bother me too much, though. I'll tell my grandmother to learn English. She learned how to chat on-line already.

My kids were born here and they are 14 and 9..My grandma is 86 and she'll never know English properly, so my kids have to speak Russian to her.. But sometimes it's funny))

I like Bulgarian girls too. One of my best friends in Boston who's also Bulgarian married a Russian girl, and just recently one of my Russian coworkers told me about her cousin who's also dating a Bulgarian guy. I'm trying not to miss the boat. :)

I haven't been there in a coupe years. I'm taking 3 weeks of vacation next month. I'm considering going there, but probably I'll just stick around here in the US.

To me this sounds like Peter the First did something first and maybe then he said hi to the priest. - I wouldn't recommend you to use this tongue-twister when introducing yourself to young Russian ladies. Because it means literally "Peter the Great farted first..." etc. May sound kinda embarrassing for both you and the lady. :crz:

Thanks for the help with Russian! I thought that ушанка means that, but it seemed out of context which is why I thought that there could be a different meaning.

I think I know what your 3 key words mean. I have some doubts about this one: комсомол. Are you sure it's applicable for what I'm trying to do. :)

My words are just a quote from an old Soviet "official" pop song. :D

And trust me - a kind heart and a charming smile will do more for your success with girls than tons of highly applicable words. ;)

Нет, не думаю что это русофобия. Русофобы в Болгарии конечно есть. Для нас, болгарских, самая трудная част изучении руссккий язык это грамматика - она гораздо разная чем болгарская (например у нас нет падежы). Например я понимаю русского языка легчее чем англиского, ну говоря лучше по английского, чем по русского (как видно ;)). А русский язык звучит так прекрасно... Жаль что забыл.
