Can I say:
1. The flowers are a pale yellow.
2. Her eyes are a lovely brown.
3. The dress is a pretty blue.
If yes - why?! does it change the meaning of the adjective phrase?!
Indefinite article is not generally used with plural nouns and with isolated adjectives (e.g. "He is a handsome" is ungrammatical) - that's what so confuses me...
I will be very grateful for your help.
