World renowned photographic artist Wayne Schoenfeld will be presenting and discussing his "Circus of Life" images at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery on May 25th at 7pm. Mr. Schoenfeld will also showcase many other images from his inspiring career. Here is the artist's statement about the "Circus of Life" series:
The Circus of Life was photographed on one of Hollywood's largest sound stages, The Quixote Studio. There were over a hundred people involved in the production including many real circus performers, dancers and actors. A metaphor for life, each performer in my circus represents a little something in each of us and the acts represent the magic thoughts in our fantasies and in our dreams.
Mr. Schoenfeld is best known for his photographic reportage of global humanitarian projects and social commentary tableau art. His images have been widely featured in print and can be found in galleries, museums and private collections in the USA, Asia and Europe. His studio tableau productions have been featured segments on BRAVO Television and the subject of several documentary films. Click here to learn more information about Wayne Schoenfeld.
All of the funds from the artist’s proceeds from the sale of his art at the Lyceum are donated to Mr. Schoenfeld’s preferred humanitarian charities, which includes Rotaplast International, which sends teams of plastic and reconstructive surgeons around the world to work on children with severe birth defects, burns and facial deformities.
